Kurzicks and Melandru, is there a relationship there?
This might be better asked in the "lore" section, if so, I'm sorry.
My ranger just got to Cavalon, and is starting to work on "getting the luxon to like me". I looked at a map and noticed that on the Kurzick side of the map there are several refereances to melandru. If I remember the storyline correctly, Melandru is the "god" for rangers, or the one that rangers "pray" too. So my question is, within the storyline of the games context, should Rangers align themselves with Kurzicks? (I know it doesn't matter in the sense of gameplay, it is just a personal preference, just curious) |

Well, Melandru's Hope
A location in Kurzick area. Really, I think its more for Echosvald Forest than Kurzick culture. In Jade Sea (Archipelagos to be prescise), there a boss who use Melandru Shot. I dont think there is something in relation except Both Luxon and Kurzick worship her like for the other gods but in a different way. Getting into a little bit of luxon lore...
There is a group called the "Deep Rangers". So I always imagined my guy as one of them!

Both factions in Chap 2 seem to be aligned lots to rangers and melandru. Lots of the NPCs on both sides are rangers, Luxons using them to fire from ships ad Kurzicks using them to fire from trees (in theory).
You must have noticed the ratio of Ranger Henchmen. I'm pretty sure I counted 3 ranger henchmen in one of the Luxon places... |

Well, the Manuscripts say that the Kurzicks praised Melandru because of their great Echovald Forest, but got the idea she abandoned them when it got petrified.

And the Luxon praise Melandru for the strength in bows. Each side has there own way to worship the gods of GW.
