Well, since I saw the message few sec ago that Ruyijo wanted our help to aid him, I noticed it was for the mission. When I fought against Grasp and others minions like in Tombs, I asked few questions: Where they come from really? In a Chaos Realm? If the Hall of Heroes as many gates over the world, did they use it to destroy over the World?

Sounds ridiculous but I think this threat will be one thing we must clear in a futur chapter. The reason why I said that is because they keep groing.

Area Affected: Tomb of Primeval King and the Isle of Shin Jea Monastary. In Nightfall, I'm sure this will happens again.

They likely came from another planar realm. The realm of Menzies. That would explain why the Darknesses drop shadow weapons (all the greens). Since all places are joined by the rift, they found a way to open a gate.

Might happen again. We might get an enterable Menzies realm as part of the storyline of topk/fow.

hmm....Menzies could be the leader of this Chaos realm, or he could be a minion. or he could be unrelated to this completely, and ANet just decided to add in shadow weapons to look nice and satisfy all the players...

there's probably a Chaos realm in the Mists... maybe because of that vicinity they invaded the Underworld and got to the Hall of Heroes.

Menzies is the leader of his realm, the self styled 'Lord of Destruction'. Though its all speculation and probably unlinked, while making the most sense.

I was talking about this is the other threads, I do believe that these enemies are going to be what "bridhes" all of the chapterstogether, these creatures ARE evil, since these creatures exist on another plane of reality, theoretically by creating the right rift, they can access any part of the GW world, currently we are of course at only the tip of the iceberg, but we are gettting closer with more powerful creatures appearing like terrorclaws, in any case these creatures will very likely invade every land that humans have set foot on, their reason we do not know yet, all we know is that they are evil and they can pop up wherever they please.

I am very firm in my idea at this will lead to the greater over arching basice of most games, Good Vs. Evil

I'd like to note that Lyssa's the goddess of chaos. Thus, I wouldn't be surprised if she had something to do with all of it.

Also:
Mesmers arent affected by the Monster skills used by the Graps of Insanity.
"The Darkness" bosses are Mesmers.

Whoa Mesmers > Lyssa > New realm?

Also Insanity is also tied with Illusion and such... Meh

Lyssa is the twin goddess of Beauty and Illusion. Chaos is a side effect but not fully under their command.

The Darknesses drop Shadow weapons, the equipment of the Army of Menzies. Menzies also has a track record of invading planes..

Pretty interesting stuff here, actually, i never recognized a structure in this entire portal/chaos thing, i was just glad there were new challenges to do...

Wondering if we will fighting the Lord of Destruction in a Chapter?

For the moment, I think the minions wanted to use Hall of Heroes to open many gates to invade the other Realms. We saw them invading the world of Tyria, perhaps they try to invade the other Realms as well like Gods Planes.

Pay attention to Rastigan the Eternal, he mentioned Menzies, the half-brother of Balthazar has named himself lord of destruction and invaded Balthazar's realm with his shadow army. (Hence the enemies in FoW).

ok the best i could find was refrnc 2 the manuscripts book 1, the rift, or the mists -they are the source of all good and evil, of all matter and knowledge it is sed that all forms of life, no mater how simplw or complex can trace it oragens 2 this 1 place.- so my gess is is that lord odran plays a key part in this as he opend a portl 2 the rift and it says he used it as his own personal gateway by opening portals 2 other relms most lykly he is the corse for this chaos

Maybe Odran has opened the Chaos gates without knowledge of this threat. But close it after by putting a ward to the doors in the multiverse. He died by the Spirits (generally Ghostly Heroes I think) who wanted retribution against him by trespassing the HoH as mortal and use it as a fortress of it own and the Wards fell. Thombs of Primeval King has a Gate and Battle Isles has another one too. 2 Gates in the world of Tyria that we know. I'm sure, one day, the storyline will bring us to Hall of Heroes for something. Maybe its a place in PvP, but perhaps a big parts in a Chapter.

Another thing I thought. If we blow HoH, the Chaos gate will not close because I think, its the Menzies Army who create these Portals.

I havent really tried during the event the mission. Someone can tell me if The Darknesses were there during this mission?

The spirits that killed him were the ones that dwelt in the Hall itself, thus the unseen ones that kill everyone on altar maps, etc. Ghostly is a big nub in comparison

Balthazar's realm gets attacked . Even Grenths Underworld is under assult.

Hall of Heroes got desecrated by "The Darkness" & Graps, Shing Jea almost got overrun.

Shirow Returned & used Afflicted in a strange way for an even stranger motivation (get back his old life & torment those that killed him?),

The Lich blows up Orr, The Charrs rained doom upon Ascalon, The Titans get released after ages of imprisonment (Ok the heroes is at fault here).

All within 1 year (or perhaps 2)?

I think Menzies is a strong candidate for masterminding all of this chaotic events

Im getting the feeling that this could boil down to a god vs god thing later in the story.

Chaos is part of Lyssa's domain right? And since these Chaos loving suckers are popping up everywhere in our world (the one that balthazar seems to favor, seeing as we get his faction and such for killing stuff

), could Lyssa and Balthazar (whos got partial dominion over order I'd bet) be in some sort of Omnipotent struggle and we are but meer pawns in Balthazar's little squabble?

Probobly not, but that would be freaking awsome. Videogames need more titanic god on god battles!

That would be cool to see all mesmers in the Lyssa's Realm and fightinto the other planes. But I fear to much touch ranger in the other side........

Shadows... sent by Menzies (Destruction)... the Darkness are shadows... some shadows are mesmers, just like some eternals... *collapse*

Balthazar is fighting his half-brother, Lyssa isn't involved! Much.

Dhuum is another candidate for the mess (perhaps he and Menzies have joined forces). though Dhuum is supposed to have been destroyed, we all know that doesnt stop someone from appearing & stiring up more trouble.

Terrorweb Dryders & Banished Dream Rider are Dhuums followers in the UW Quest "The Four Horsemen"
