It's obviously Abbadon, from the phrase in the Beta Nightfall Preveiw event after beating the Second mission in the area Joknaur Diggings a clipscene comes up where the Warmarshel of Kourna and her advisor both chant "Abbadon Rise". I personally think they have had this almost planned for a god little bit of time. If you look at a picture in the pre-order booklet you wil see a picture of the current Warmashel set above a picture of a structure surrounded by the tendrels much like those surrounding the tomb of the Primeval Kings, a previous portal into the MIsts, and now one into the Underworld, implying the Abbadon has been struggling to get released for quite some time. Also many of the green items that the bosses drop at the end could possibly be insight into those who died in the war in the Crystal Desert. Just a theory of course, but all I can say is I want my tombs back, that place was ownage XD

Next thing
so what are the ghosts in the crystal desert? they tried to ascend, but they died trying to get through elona reach (like most ppl). is this connected to the magronites and the ancient war? And what about ascension? Really, in the lore, what does ascension do to you?
This isnt really connected, but what are the ectos and shards? are they like a gift from grenth/balth?
One last thing. when you get to the rof, you will see all the "(god name) cursed" running around. why are they cursed by these gods? what did they do?

Lyssa's Cursed, Grenth's Cursed?
That is areally good question that I've pondered but has never been really answered as of yet. We don't really know do we?
Now, we do know that Chapter 3 will tie up alot of loose ends that we have questions about from Chapter 1's Crystal Desert we see and have access too.
Things like the --- Cursed beings we face in the Fire Islands, well, that could be a while more.

It would make sense that Abaddon would be the figure of contention, as he is portrayed across many mythologies as a fallen deity or prophet. He is also referenced in many games as a bringer of the end of days. This makes him seem somewhat like Satan, but from what I understand he operates almost solely in the mortal realm. So yes, he is very much like Morgoth from the Silmarillion in many respects. In addition to being a philologist (scholar of linguistics, specifically the manipulation of languages), Tolkien was very spiritual yet antidogmatic. These attributes in tandem allowed him to write of evil and good with a fair bit of objectivity. His writings have had an immense influence on the realm of fantasy, and I would think Guild Wars is no exception. My experience shows me that Tyrian and Canthan prophecies, as far as characterization is concerned, seem to hold that same subtle objectivity. Maybe it's better labeled as acceptance of destiny, but the style remains.
Now that I'm off that tangent, I'll try to shed some light on Abaddon's position from a grammatical standpoint. Abaddon comes from the Hebrew "Avadon," meaning "destruction." He appears in Revelation 9:11 as a demon and "Angel of the Abyss." His name is also used in Satanism, where it also means "destruction." Now, what does this have to do with Guild Wars?
The coming of Abaddon is told in a fashion much similar to Revelation, a dark yet objective style similar to that of Tolkien. The storyline, as far as I've seen, also mirrors much of Revelation in terms of content. ArenaNet, albeit a division of Korean-based NCSoft, is a western company, and it makes sense for them to tell the story in such a way. The fact that Abaddon is an outcast, while not directly stated in Revelation, makes sense based on his title "Angel of the Abyss."
That's just my two cents. There's a good chance we're all mistaken about a great many things, but it's still fun to speculate. If anyone can prove me wrong or make me look like an idiot, please do so. I would rather be embarassed once than wrong over and over.
Just to reiterate, the correct spelling is "Abaddon."

And I draw your attention to monty pythons holy grail, the holy grail in the desert
Elona is a desert kinda place.
6 is my lucky number, 6th god, desert bunny, cant be killed bunny, my nickname is bunny...
Thus, the sixth god is that pre-searing bunny.

ok so every campaign involves someone powerful dying for someon evil to gain power. Rurik and Togo
Now, Abaddon takes Gwen's soul from UW and takes her soul to gain power to kill the gods. Since it was a soul from UW he gains more power than from Togo or Rurik.
This either sounds really stupid or really logical :P

dear god, i think he has someting!! actually, you're close. during the searing, gwen was captured by the charr, and cursed. when she died(yes it was possible) her spirit got trapped in the flute. when it got broken, so did her soul. like the lich in prophecies though, a powerfull guy takes the flute( similar to the sceptar of orr) and fixed the flute, restoring gwen. but gewn killed the evil guy and took his body. now you have to kill the evil killer gwen thingy.

someone posted it earlier that mabye the Margonites tried to open the door of komalie and start the flameseeker phrpocies, mabye thats why they were in the desert, so they could ascend and deal with the murrsat and there powers ( powers being spectral agony, 100 damage every second for x amount of seconds x_x) i believe that thing that infuses your armor ( forgot the name ?_?) was working with the margonites, remember the mission where you go to get infused the party leader ''why are you helping us'' and it gets all mad then tells you it has its own reasons for helping you, kind of suspicious huh o_O'')

I don't know if this has allready been said but the outcast god, Dhuum was defeated by Grenth, making him an outcast. also Dhuum is pronounced 'doom' the Hebrew meaning of Abaddon, and seeing as Nightfall will have a north african theme (egypt and the like) this is also where the Jewish religion was created, i.e Hebrew

This is why Avarre doesn't post in these topics.
Dhuum was defeated and destroyed by Grenth. What remains of Dhuum's reign of the Underworld are basically the Four Horsemen.

I agree wit this for sure. That bunny was a spy and was decieving us alll along! This could also be the reason why gwens items are scattered from ascalon too the crystal desert. The bunny needed the power of gwens flute for total domination and the cape for the cover of nightfall!

Dont despair fellow worldwellers... I have already cought this god in a cage, he will never escape from. Unless someone travels to Shing Jae Island and lets it escape... Yes there are those ignorant enough to trigger such disastrous events...
And btw: Gwen never died, she will be the unique hero everyone gets for completing Prophesies. Dont know what the unique hero is for Factions yet...
