Default Boat Travel In Chapter 4

You know how you travel by boat to get to Cantha and Elona. Well, where is the boat going to travel to get to the new place?
If the next chapter is going to be up north, then does the northern part have an ocean? And if so, where does it connect to the southern ocean that you see from Tyria, Cantha, and Elona?

This was somthing that came to my mind one day. I would like to know what your thoughts where on this?

My theory is that chapter 4 will be based around/in the sunken city of Arah in Orr. It would be cool going through that area and finding more about the lore of GW(The cataclysm-five gods ect) We may even get submarines-hey! Masks and snorkels

If it is above Kryta or whatever, i'm sure it could just go round the jungle to the west.

Agreed. If the 'northern continent' is directly above Tyria, then the port that we travel to should be on the western side, as the Charr and who knows what else inhabit the east.

I think it's going to be airships. Powered by either air elementalists or one of the new professions.

For the next chapter you won't need a boat, you'll need a ship... A rocket ship!

The next chapter will primarily occur on a giant orbital platform that was once home to the 'gods' -- really just aliens with advanced technology. You'll discover that The Searing was not a matter of 'magic', but instead an accidentally activated SD system that rained down kinetic harpoons (id est, giant blue crystal thingies) on the hapless Ascolonians. Just for fun you'll be able to rain down your own giant blue crystal thingies on all of those that annoyed you so in the first three games -- Buh-bye, House zu Heltzer!

In the course of the game you'll discover that the 'gods' didn't exactly leave, they got called home to report to The Big Giant Head (voiced in the cut scenes by William Shatner, of course). Since they'll be gone for another century or so, it's up to you to discover how to use and abuse all their hi-tech playtoys. The Guild Wars are about to get a whole lot more interesting with the introduction of ablative shielding, thermonuclear weapons, and anti-matter mines. So long, fellblade, hello plasma-rifle!

Guild Wars : The Halo Experience! Coming soon to a rocket ship near you...

Or not. Whichever.

well if you notice when you go to England from America your travel west. If you want to go to Germany you will also travel west. You can go BEYOND some of the other continents.

If you would still travel by boat, imagine how long it would take in real life o.O

Lets hope for airships, lol

Hopefully, it won't be in the north, rather in the south with CAntha.

There is always the theory that Chapter 4 will take place in a re-vitalised Ascalon. Ive heard it pop up here and there on the forums.

travel by boat will make the time lapse between each campaign cross over more believable sorta.

and this is probably been said many times before, but i still have to think it out loud because i just think the whole concept is sorta funny: do you think they have an already made giant world map pinned up somewhere on their wall and have like little post it notes saying which one will be introduced when? xD With all the little lines and routes drawn on it and cities and all that mess..talk about pre-planning stage!

Edit:

i DON'T think they will include airships unless the next campaign is more technologically advanced. Otherwise it'll become like any other game. More animal riding fun would be cool though. Maybe if the campaign is underwater we'll travel by whale!

I always thought of Tyria (Continent) as France/Germany/Spain so the next chapter if in the north would be Greenland so you could take a boat

If CH. 4 is northen of tyria I think it would be cool to go there by hot air balloon.
It would be intersting and rather unique.

yes I think it shall be up north where there shall be snow, but, I think that anet could also include major tech boosts through certain cities. Therfore creating airships. I figure that is why krypta built the towers, not because of the charr, but because their neighbors had such a tech advantage that they were afraid. The only thing going against that idea is the temp up there, I figure that it is like a artic or antartic up there, so that would mean total harshness for the mechs.
Omg just proved myself wrong! ^ ^

I vote for the Japanese RPG-esque airship (as in the airships that look like normal ships but can fly) to take us up north past those greyish green mountains that border most of Ascalon, the Shiverpeaks, and Maguuma.
