The bones in the crystal dessert are the bones of large under sea creatues like the gw version of ancient Whales. This are remainders from when the dessert was an ocean way back when teh margontites where first there (as seen by the margonites ships and buildings made from ships). Also i noticed the large bones from the near the charr corridor and i wonder if these were the same creatures or the bones of large Glint like Dragons (hence the nearby area name Dragons Gullet).

I know its kinda a long shot but i wonder if Glint could be one of these giants. Although shes not Massive compared to Abaddon shes certainly large, and dwarfs the so called Giants of Tryia and we all know shes certainly Ancient. Not to mention a being like that with that many eggs that lives for that long a period, where are her offspring?

Anyone thought that what is behind the jugles of kryta? Forget the vikings, bring out the aztecs! Atleast south america theme was what first came in to my mind.

I got also this feeling that we will get a new race to choose from.

About time before char invasion, thinka bout it, wouldnt it be bit funny that you could actualy jump with couple clicks to cantha which is many years after that?

Well, we don't know how long it takes for one of Glint's eggs to hatch. Her offspring could still be in the shells .

Or they might prove to be something we've already seen - the drakes of Prophecies or the dragons of Cantha, for instance, or the Forgotten. Maybe dragons of Glint's stature are like queen bees - they need to be fed a special diet to become little-Glints.

Somewhat more seriously, consider all those Bone Dragons we run into, while Glint is the only true dragon in Tyria (with the Canthan dragons appearing to be a different species until we learn otherwise). Seems to me that the most likely explanation is that most of Glint's offspring were in Orr - or maybe just enough of a proportion were to fuel the bone dragon populace, while the rest, while scattered around Tyria, are in hiding just as Glint is... but, unlike Glint, aren't important enough to seek out.

I think it is said a couple of times ingame that there can be bones of Great Giants found in the Crystal Desert. Ok, this doesnt mean the bones we see are the ones they are talking about.

Also Glint is pretty small if you compare her to the bones in Dragons Gullet.

It's explained through many sources, including the manual and quest lore .

hmm true i forgot about all those bonedragons makes sence they were offspring or relatives of glint althught they are a slightly different shape to her, but that could be cause they wernt as ancient. I doubt the drakes were related though, they seem to be a species all on there own.

nothing happens the eggs disappear when you go through the portal. Would have been cool to grow a lil dragon.

True she is a little small.

As for the great giants, well the leviathons from the see are still considered Giants, w8 a sec the quote about them from the manual just says, x year the Giants stopped 'Walking' the land of Tryia, could this mean they evolved into Sea creatures. What if these sea leviathon bones are the giants or atleast some of them who got caught by the cataclism in when the Ocean became a Dessert

i think north is a good idea, but i doubt it would really emphasize a ton on the charr. the charr are kind of old news, they may have a role in the next chapter but i dont think they will be the sole emphasis. kinda like how they were in chapter 1. which is sad because they are obviously popular and we are somewhat learning more about them with nightfall.

there was mention of trading with the northlands, and its pretty obvious trading with charr is out of the question. whether the north is snow or jungle nobody knows, but its obvious there are people there. and they are unaffected by the charr, at least enough to still have a safe trade route with cantha. id guess north is snowy, jsut cause.. of geographical north and south poles. the giants may take a role in this but i would assume they would be like the forgotten in the crystal desert. Also, being able to trade with cantha must show some sign of a way to get there through the sea. This could be a easy way to link the boating idea from campaign to campaign.

is it also possible we could pursue more mursaat/seer history more west? id personally love to get into that stuff. maybe the mursaat are more north of the maguuma then just straight west. the seer were close to being wiped out weren't they? maybe we could go to their home in their time of need, making the mursaat yet another deadly enemy to encounter, where we start from their retreating forces in the maguuma and end in the homeland of the seer. We could learn more about how the mursaat get their power, which could lead to another higher entity like abbadon.

Last thing I wanna put out there, which is almost not likely at all but interesting to me. we still know very little about cantha. And im curious as to how far the petrified forest and jade see reach. Is there untouched land from shiros curse? And if so what lies there? What is far south and east of the factions campaign?

Just out of curiousnenss..

Does NCsoft plan to do a limited count of chapters ?

Like do 6 chapters, then drop guild wars and make guild wars 2 instead ?

Because in Lineage its like that:

they made Lineage 1 made some Chronicles, then they did Lineage 2 made 5 chronicles now they will drop L2 and make Lineage 3....

By the way.. about the bone dragons....

Remember that dragon called Rottscale that is guarding a closed portal on that strange 'island' surrounded by ghosts in Kryta somewhere east of temple of ages ?

Maybe an entrance to the underworld ?

I'd like to see the atlantis-themed chapter though..

and have a great 'sea' and allow players to have ships ? :P
I guess im just dreaming about stuff thats nearly impossible to implement...

But again I trust NCsoft that community working together with the developers can have great results...

I'm looking forward to C5 and hoping Guild Wars will NEVER be dropped by NCSoft....

..I know I show symptomes of being addicted ^^

Underwater team would be really great and unique for any RPG-game.
I would say go for it!

ok I thought I would throw out what I think. I have two ideas and the second one is probably more complete than the first.

The first one I'll make fairly quickly. Because the Devs of Chapter 4 did Factions, I could easily see some storyline happening and the area being either East of the Jade Sea or South of the Echovald Forest. Cantha is a continent and so far it seems really small for a continent (or at least imcomplete). As far as a storyline goes, I'm clueless.

The second idea is actually the more complete and the one I like of the two. I would like to see Ch. 4's storyline based around Lord Ordran. There really isn't much info about him, but according to the GW Timeline, he was the first mortal to enter the Rifts. This event happened 224 years ago (from present day GW time). According to what I have read, the Rift is a place of perfect balance of all things, including time. It is also the final resting place for souls after death. I am thinking that when he entered the Rift (or any mortal for that matter), over time he began to grow in power. Because time is balance (doesn't go forward...doesn't go backward), I think he may still be alive. With all this....there has just got to be something going on that could make for a good storyline. I can see the storyline being that you have to travel into the Rift for some reason whether to kill an evil-turned Lord Ordran or to stop some army from flooding the portals to destroy Tyria.

With that said, I think the theme might go to a more dark/sinister feel. I think the chapter will take place on the Northern part of Tyria as well as in the Rift. You'll probably see the city of Drascir (the former Ascalon capital) along with the Tombs of Drascir as well as other cities that are mentioned but forgotten.

Just my thoughts and ideas.

From the lore:

"The wizard lord was torn to shreds by hundreds of angry souls seeking retribution for his trespasses." Prophecies Lore book, page 72.

That doesn't mean he can't still be active in another form, but he has died at least once.

Ok...I was going by just what I read in the timeline and hadn't bothered with the lore (I read it awhile back but it has been awhile). I just find it striking that on the same page it says that "The Wizard Lord had been canny though; Ordran knew that one day he too might be ensconced in the HoH...". It seems that he wants to become a god and I guess could be the setup for Ch. 4. I think even if he was torn to shreds, I think he somehow got resurrected possibly by Dhuum and started gaining power through the ranks under Menzies, who saw his arcanist potential and thought he might be useful against Balthazar.

In Scandinavien lore, huge sea creatures are very popular, so maybe we'll see both.
But....maybe not ^^
