No. It's established Cantha is to the south, sorry for not having sources. But I'm very sure it is in the south of Tyria. The dredge point really doesn't matter in the arguement. But it would be cool, but no.
EotN will feature new races, BUT THEY WILL ONLY BE NPCs. We already know that.
That thing about the globe, that's a game function, not lore. Please talk about lore, and it won't happen, it's an expansion, not GW2.

It has been mentioned that EotN will lead to GW2 right after. So isn't EotN the last part of Guild Wars? If it is, then the world of Tyria can be shaped into a globe. I'm trying to picture a globe of all the continents combined. I'm also guessing that northern Tyria will stretch to reach south of Cantha to where Echovald forest lies.

glint should be around still, and i'm wondering if they'll include her in the storyline somehow. as for the seer, i am unsure as to what happened to him or her, after the armor was infused the seer practically vanished. forget about that guy we got what we needed! i am unsure as to what happens to the mursaat as i haven't really finished tyria,(i stopped at abaddon's mouth). but i've read some on wiki and I don't really understand what happens to the mursaat as we turned our focus onto the Lich.
As for the time skip, I know that it's already established that characters from GW1 wont be able to migrate to GW2, but why coulldn't GW1 characeters travel through a portal of The Mists? I've long since lost my prophecies book with the lore, but I remember reading about a wizard or scientist/alchemist that discovered the use of The Mists or the portals interconnecting the worlds and dimensions, placing protective wards and spells so that only he could make use of them. I forget what caused his untimely end, but one of the discovered portals leads us to The Hall of Heroes. Two years and I haven't seen any other portals, and after i read the lore i was expecting to see some pop up through the storyline.

You'll find out what happens to the Mursaat soon.
Lord Odran discovered the portals to the rifts and he is the one who opened all of them which eventually would be discovered by everyone. One interesting thing about the portals is the one called Tomb of Drascir here's the quote from the Guild wiki. It's an interesting read and I have a feeling we'll be seeing this place in EotN.
"The city of Drascir, former capital of Ascalon, lies far beyond the protection of The Great Northern Wall, due north of Surmia. It fell into the hands of the invading Charr years ago.
Drascir was also known for its Academy of the Arcane Arts, the sister academy of Nolani Academy.
King Adelbern and Prince Rurik were born in Drascir.
As described in the Lore, the Tombs of Drascir, eternal resting place for the ancient kings of Ascalon, were once used as a portal to the Hall of Heroes. It is unknown whether the Tomb of Drascir is located in the city of Drascir, or somewhere further north."

I'm starting to think the Asura are some kinda replacement for the Mursaat. It was to my understanding the Mursaats race was wiped out in the Titans rampage yet people keep asking where are the Mursaat over and over which would lead me to think Anet would use them again.
The Asura sound like the Mursaat in a way - they are hidden, are supposidly smarter than us and believe they are destined to rule. I really want to know what they think of everything that has gone on in Tyria (as in the world) with the Lich,Titans,Shiro and Abaddon. How would they respond to Humans walking into their home? hostile? friendly?.
And the Sylveri. Where and how do they begin?.

... Seems reasonable to me to assume that Cantha would in fact be west of Tyria, rather than north or south. Afterall, you know that Elona is immediately south of Tyria... so Cantha couldn't be, or would have to be south of Elona.... which really is pushing it given Cantha's climate and that Cantha has ocean on its northern and western sides. Furthermore, Tyria has oceans on the north side and to the south-west.... but is bordered by land on the true east and west sides. Given that land cannot give way to sea, it seems reasonable to assume that Cantha cannot be directly east nor north, and the South is already taken ..... hence logic points out that Cantha should be west.
Consider additionally the relative climates. Elona as a whole is far warmer than Tyria... which is rather more temperate on the whole. Likewise Cantha seems fairly temperate... which would imply that it is not going to be north of Tyria (more tundra / arctic style) and rather shares a similar latitude. Once again we have established that it would need to be far further away (with more inbetween) to lie to the East than to the West....
So.... yeah.
That is my justification that eventually the Maguuma Jungle will lead through to the Maishang Hills and the Jade Sea... It makes far more sense if you view it as per our world, but inverted right-to-left.... with Tyria as Europe, Elona as Africa and Cantha as Asia.
[Excuse the relative irrelevancy of this rant.]
And maybe the Asura are the race the Ancient Seers come from.

Whats left of Drascir is probally what u encounter during the Ruins of Surmia mission since this is where the academy is. However it is possible that the academy of Drascir wasnt actually near Drascir and was infact closer to Surmia (which some times happens to things in the real world such a Leeds Castle being about 300 miles away from the City of Leeds) and the ruins are of Surmia meaning the ruins of the city could appear in EoTN.
The 'Eye' of the north could relate to several things, the most likly is something totally new, however it could relate to the watchtowers in northern Kryta etc. or it could relate to Janthir since the collapse of the White Mantle the Eye of Janthir will be free for its true purpose (perhaps). Janthir being the speculated name of the Mursaat City (or one of them them atleast) There is also the remote chance the Eye, (being a Watcher, being an Oracle type being) could be infact be Glint and the truth behind her.
