Default Is this the Shiverpeaks Bloodstone?

GuildWiki talks about the Shiverpeaks bloodstone here:

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Bloodstone

But you never see it? However the other day when doing the Ice Caves of Sorrow I saw this:

Could this be it? Interestly it could be, but while standing on it you do not suffer from the "Curse of the Bloodstone" effect like the other ones cause.

Sorry if this has been shown before... just figured it was interesting.

Dicuss?

I've always assumed this is the shiverpeaks bloodstone. Same shape, and the Mursaat are alreaddy storing captives next to it...

I have thought that this was the third bloodstone which you are told might be out here but it actually has a couple of inconsistencies.
1. it isn't as big at the other two.
2. Its missing the red blood spikes, although it does have the boulders the blood spikes actually grow out of the stone these boulders are just strapped to the side of it.
3. As noted you don't suffer a curse of the bloodstone.

Personally I have hunted the world map looking for this blood stone in the shiverpeaks and I have also hunted for any signs of the fourth one but I have yet to find anything. I'm starting to think that when they mention the bloodstone in the southern shiverpeaks it might have meant the teleporter in the back by the dwarf that you do the bonus for. And what they do is teleport to the fire islands very close to that bloodstone in the mursaat city.

I would like to see the other 2 two bloodstone found though because they are the single most important items in the entire game. And I would have expected them to play an important roll in the Guild Wars world. Hopefully anet will give these bloodstones and the keystone a greater focus in gw2.

Hmm, maybe those missing spikes are actually Mursaat addons, and since the area has just been captured by the Mursaat, the infrastructure has not been built up yet?

I'm going to make an executive descision here and say yes.

I've got one in my garage too. It takes my car 4 times longer to start each morning. :P

In the mission where this ss was taken, the white mantle plan to sacrifice saidra(?) on the bloodstone. This is the only thing within a long area that looks close to a bloodstone. The others are in Bloodstone fen, Hells, and possibly 2 others in ascalon(GW:EN?) and the desert (possible northernmost elona)

We know the bloodstones are...
1) In Abaddon's Mouth, may be the keystone
2) Maguuma jungle
3) Somewhere in the Shiverpeaks, Glint says Evennia and Saidra were going to be killed upon it
4) ?
5) ?

The other two are probably in Tyria. I don't think all of them may have the red blood spikes or as many. As you can see, Hell's and Bloodstone Fen both have bloodstones of considerably different sizes (as well as runic markings and spikes), though it may simply be Hell's, being the keystone, is different from the other four which all resemble Bloodstone Fen's.

Well maybe that is an unactivated Bloodstone. I guess we'll probably find out about the other Bloodstones in GW:EN.

I doubt this particular bloodstone is "unactivated" or even of relevance for the story in GWEN. A bloodstone is used for the powering of the gates of Komali. So it's merely "unused" rather than "unactivated". I do think we can expect to see the other 2(?) bloodstones in the GWEN campaign.

All the Blood Stones are used, there are the source of all magic in Tryia. without them there wold be no magic.

The Door or Komali just happened to be near to the Expelled Bloodstone and the Soul Batteries (the spike like protrusions) were presumably drawing power from the bloodstone(This is either the Keystone or the Preservation Bloodstone, the keystone is NOT related to the Door of Komali, its function is to return the 5 stones into just 1, it locks them together should the need arise).

The Similar and yet different protrusions on the Wilds one were to empower an individual with power from the Bloodstone (presumably Destruction or Aggression).

The Architecture on the Bloodstones are build onto them possibly by the Mursaat, the reason the one in the shiverpeaks was relativly untouched was because the Mursaat had only just arrived there (they had only been around Magumma, Kryta and The Fire Isle until the events of Prophecies)

well maybee the other stones are in the other campains, but never saw them, or something that could look like them.
but i am interested in the keystone. Never again would one person control all types of magic. and with this stone and the the 4 blood stones a power will be unleashed. maybee the goal of the great distroyer.

btw i dont think we will find the rest, since GWEN wil come so more land will come.
i also think there is one in Orr (Orr was an ancient empire which once ruled over a portion of Tyria on a peninsula to the South of Ascalon and to the west of the Crystal Desert. Orr was home to the city of the gods, Arah. This city was once inhabited by the gods Balthazar, Dwayna and Melandru while they shaped Tyria.)
It could be that it will be revealed again after the earthquake in GWEN that wil rip thourgh the 3 continents

Well, in Prophecies the Mursaat had only recently made contact with Kryta - lots of people still weren't even sure if they trusted those newfangled White Mantle dudes. It's not inconceivable that the Mursaat were expanding into new areas, and were planning to reactivate a "new" bloodstone to further their agenda of frantically keeping the Titans from messing up their hair.

Seems to me that it probably is a bloodstone...

Doesn't have to follow the same design.... and I'd imagine it doesn't give the curse effect because the whole damned thing has frozen over and the process has slowed down.
The Mursaat just have to warm it up first...

Isn`t the 4th in Lions Arch ,due to the Lich Lord summoning the creatures in the Hells Precipice mission and asking 1 group to go to LA.
And the 5th is in Hells Precipice as you have to kill the Lich Lord on the Bloodstone.

As far as I know, the Lich can send the titans anywhere, not just to places with other bloodstones. Also it's at the end of Abaddon's Mouth that he's seen sending off Titans.

"To Lion's Arch."
"To Thunderhead Keep."
"And you. You will go to Rin."

Even if they DID have bloodstones, it'd make no sense because the keystone, maguuma, and shiverpeak bloodstones leave room for only TWO remaining bloodstones. (Unless perhaps the real Shiverpeak bloodstone is at THK?)

The Titans moved area via portals the Lich had summoned (that we close during the Hell's Precipice mission)

Doesn't look like a bloodstone to me. Where the two other bloodstones we have seen are largish black stones separate from the terrain, this here is just part of the mountains. The only thing making the shape there appear even remotely circular are those four dwarven constructions (which can be found all around Shiverpeaks) in the corners, and even then it looks like a fat cross.
