This isn't a lord question... imo.

And I think Anet will allow for different styles of humans, but Tyria might change in 100 or whatever years.

GW:EN will focus mainly on, around, and under Tyria.

I don't know why, but I can't shake the feeling GW2 will focus mainly around Tyria as well.

They may make humans customizable to the point where you can make them look Canthan, Elonian, etc, though they probably will all share the same starting point.

Personally I just love Tyria and, if only one of these groups of humans will be present in the game, it'd best be Tyrians.

I also like Tyria the best, in terms of landscape and background lore, but I would love to be able to create Canthan and Elonian characters in appearance.

A lot of interesting points being brought up by many people other than myself. It is good to hear that I am not the only one that is concern about this matter.

I would have to agree with most of these statements. But even though we are getting "new" races, what about the other important ones? Like the Tengu and the Centaurs, they are important non-human races as well. I don't want them to be left behind.

The list of races they have now is not yet final, so there is still hope...

I'm not sure where I read it, but I'm pretty sure that I read that ANet are gonna make releases for GW2 that will bring us back Cantha and Elona

Not sure its ever been stated but yeah it would not make sense for Anet to leave out Cantha and Elona (Especially Elona after the events of Nightfall) in their GW2 version.I suspect expansions and the races of Canthan/Elonian become avaliable with these campaigns.

I would love to be able to select which culture your character came from though like for example you choose your human character to be a Luxon native or Krytan...or for the Tengu you can choose to come from the Caromi.

GW 2 is going to be almost similar to most mmos like World of Warcraft. They are adding a dungeon system, new races that will each have their alliances, world pvp, etc. All the info is located here -----> http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Guild_Wars_2 . Personally I think that this approach is going to make GW 2 a great game, but I'm sure a lot of people like Guild Wars the way it is and would not like a drastic change in the game.

Erm not sure what exactly that has to do with this thread. This thread is a discussion as to if GW2 will have options to be Canthan,Elonian ect. Pretty sure we all know the details on GW2 with the amount of threads and previews

All these people say this/that MMO is similar to WoW.

Does anyone stop and think that WoW is similar to every MMO before it?

GW has innovation. WoW has Blizzard's rep.
