The only thing that doesn't quite add up is the placing of GW:EN. Why underground? why not farther north, past the shiverpeaks? It would definetly fit with the chronology of the lore. My best guess is that the underground setting is either a) a place that the developers havnt set a primary chapter yet (continental land masses for prophs and NF, oceans on the luxon side of factions... it just seems logical that a cave setting would be the last explored setting for the game.. unless we end up in space) b) a passage to the north, or c) the exile for said original giants.

Actually everyone here is right.

Starting from the beginning the Flameseeker prophecies is based from Prophecies right through to nightfall.

Prophecies and Nightfall are conjoined by war with the forgotten and the mantle. At this time...Factions was a simutanious chapter going on the same time as the Flameseeker wars. But in the end, Lich and Shiro ended up in torment controlled by abaddon, after abaddon was destroyed thus ending the flameseeker prophecies. Also ending the Flameseeker Trilogy known as

Guild Wars 1.

EoTN will or mostly be another chapter inserted into the original game during or before the rise and fall of ascalon, but many have said. We'll just to wait and see. I think everything in the game points to the new Guild Wars game. Take Sorrow's Furnace. Dredge that appear in Factions also are native in ORO. Just thinking of this new title is getting me excited. Can't wait to play.

Not exactly. Cynn near the end of Factions does give out a line about being on the Ring Of Fire Islands. Since they all made their journey with the Heros its not possible they could of been there before Ascalon had been destroyed. My theory is that when the Heros were on the Fire Islands, the students of Shing Jea Monestary had began their training.

On the Guild Wars Website it does throw out that Abaddon has been defeated making EotN happen some years after the events of Nightfall. This would make more sense than it sloting into the original Prophecies chapter since for example Gwen looks to be in her late teens in EotN whereas she is about 9-11 or 10-12 in Prophecies

I've read it listed as Great Giants for a translation and while I know Tyrian nomenclature doesn't have to conform to any known language Giganticus Majorus or Giganticus Rex would likely be more appropriate for a Great Giant. Just my thoughts
Reading this post and the posts after it, I kept thinking of this picture:

Looks like a "Gigantic Lupine" to me... Norn?
