Default Story Flaw?

Why, since you destroy the Boreal Station gate as soon as you get to EotN, are there portals outside of the major cities that lead to it??? This makes no sense, destroying it was at the purpose of keeping things out....

While it is flawed storywise, the reason for them is so non-Prophecies owners can access GW:EN. Just add it to the list of discrepancies that add up when trying to cram a linear storyline in a non-persistant world.

People who have only Factions or Nightfall would have no way to get to the Northen Tyria areas without the portals. The 3rd one (In Tyria) was probably put there for the hell of it.

No sense to have it in Tyria unless you get really bored xD
But its to access EOTN from Cantha+Elona.
