I thought this was very interesting, because we, as the chosen, failed at the juncture in the room with the evil dragon rising....we ignored him, and thus doomed the world to the way it is (or will be) in GW2. Heh.

You're right, we did fail and we have tipped the scales in evil's favor!

Yeah. BAD US! We were so distracted by the awesome outro music that we just couldn't resist walking out of the cavern all badassy and ignoring the giant monster with its epic eye-opening animation (that was EPIC).
We should have killed him ahead of time! Oh wait, he's up on the ceiling. We could toss Alesia and all the other crappy NPCs into the lava until displacement rises the lava to the top of the cavern and scorches him.
...or we could just FIRE ZE MISSILES!!11oneone!

I would like to note, the dragon, Primordus, doesn't awaken till about 250 years in the future. When we go to that room in EN, it just looks like a statue, which is what the asurans, and everyone else, thought it was.
But I do think that "the statue practically bleeds magic"-Vekk during the Final Vision, would be a bit of a give away that it isn't a plain statue *stupid asurans*.
But yeah, we failed to know, but no one but the Great Destroyer knew that that it was a living creature, let alone evil.

Valid point. There's so many random things down in the Depths of Tyria that after a while ya start to drown it out. Same thing for them?

They probably had suspisions but in the end you dont expect that the statue you have casually glanced at from time to time or used as a power source is actually a primordial Dragon.
Even if the heroes had taken action there are still 5 other dragons accounted for still sleeping in various places.

I think that Tablet thingy actually means rise of Titans, which nearly wiped all Mursaats. Also, I highly doubt they were thinking about GW2 while they were on Propechies >_>

I think that Kemal is correct on this, I don't think they were thinking about GW2 with Factions, or even Nightfall, so why when they were doing Prophecies? Also, we did unleash the titans which nearly wiped out not only the Mursaat but also the Dwarves and Humans *Titan quests anyone?*

Yep, we failed the world, just as Anet planned so they could make GW2 a not so good beats evil game cliche. And I honestly hope I could be a "bad guy" in GW2 instead of the "all of the players are the Chosen ones who will stop the Mursaat" then there are what, 3, 5, million Chosen Ones. It's Chosen ONE not Chosen Multi-million!
The Shiverpeaks could melt because Primordus is a fire dragon and had fire minions. Last time I checked, fire melts snow.
So yep, us and the other three million or so Chosen Ones caused massive global warming by just ignoring a huge sleeping dragon opening its eye. We are also responsible for the possible extinction of the Mursaat, yet more typical human behavior, wiping out random species and ignoring the blatantly obvious.
