Yeah this was noticed and talked about awhile before the arrival of the "The Movement of Time" article. Of course the reason it was noticed is due to the Northen Shiverpeaks no longer being close to Kryta.

Since this is probably not the final map of Tyria in GW2 we cant just say "Orr didnt really resurface" and "cities are appearing in the Magumma". We need the final map for that

I'm hoping that's the case, and hoping that's not the GW2 logo. That font is HIDEOUS! Looks like something for some free South Korean *cough*Silkroad* karate MMORPG thingy.

The GW1 font was epic, they should make the logo sort like Factions and Nightfall - a variation on the standard "Guild Wars" logo.

Utopia had some sexy concept art - lots of Aztec and Maya places with roofs and plazas, very sexy, colosseums, etc. Nice and cozy.

Yes, Utopia looked like it would be very nice. To bad they scrapped that idea

I would rather have Utopia, then wait for half a year for the beta of Gw2.

There are Shiverpeaks, as in the Movement of the World article, the norn move to the Northern/Southern Shiverpeaks and the Ice and Snow Dragon takes over the Far Shiverpeaks.

I think when looking at how Tyria will look like in GW2, you should read the http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/The_...t_of_the_World instead of looking at the image for GW2.

Actually...is it just me or is Orr not risen in that "map" behind the logo? because it looks to me like Kryta is pretty much the same and aside from the ring of fire islands appearing green (wtf on that btw?).

The Ring of Fire Island Chain is not even shown in the logo as the Guild Wars 2 title covers the area it would be around so not sure how you can see its green.

And yeah as mentioned in this thread a couple of times Orr isnt there. But then again this logo was released back around March 07 so you cant really expect it to have everything in the "Future Tyria" down nor can we base anything on it as it may not be the final map.

To be honest, it looks more like normal stretching from the "Sphereize" option in Photoshop than anything thats indicative of Tyria's future geography.

Still looks nice though.

I think when they made that they just 'took' the map of tyria, turned it all green for simplicity, turned it into a sphere, put a border, 'Guild Wars,' and the 2 on it and said "ok, done."

Yeah, we may be thinking too much into this. For example the sphereness is just for cool effect - Tyria in full + Cantha + Elona (and any other places) could NOT fit onto a single globe if that was to scale.

Also, didn't the GW2 logo come out before "The Movement of the World"? So I dunno.

Very small planet! I don't want to think of Tyria as a planet with alien lifeforms (Giant Insects and an oversized dancing head).

Yep. Though they probably had an idea about what they were gonna do with "Future Tyria" when they made that logo i doubt they took time to make it fit.

I was wondering around and looked at the Tablets of Janthir, and found this 1:

The crossroads will come, a hiccup in time when the rest of history has not been written. At this juncture, when the fate of the world hangs in the balance, the forces of evil will rise. It is at this point, that the chosen ones may fail

-- Scroll of Seeing

I thought this was very interesting, because we, as the chosen, failed at the juncture in the room with the evil dragon rising....we ignored him, and thus doomed the world to the way it is (or will be) in GW2. Heh.

The interesting thing about this is, although it's probably speaking about the lich or just nothing in particular, it is relevant. Like a real prophecy.

You're right, we did fail and we have tipped the scales in evil's favor!
