To add to the speculation: In the Boreas Seabed mission, doesn't Elder Rhea say something along the lines of "the imperial dragon has sent a champion" when introducing the player?

The Imperial Dragon is the name of the empire of Kaineng City, ruled by the Emporer, not an actual dragon.
Also, about the charr comment, charr can be silent...stop ripping on my favorite race and profession in the game!

Can't agree with you on the assassin part, but you can be sure I'll be on of the many people to be playing a Charr. GOGO 55 Charr Monk. I'd gladly take the runes and stuff off my monk and put them on a charr if it mean't that it couldn't die easily.

Ditto, there is an entire legion of female charr, I can't remember where I read that, but I didn't just imagine it im sure
there is the Light House dragon on Shing Jea/Kaineng to think about too, that was active at the release of factions; breathing fire etc.

i think to get into cantha you would have to sneak in cuz theres no tengu or togo to help you now the ruler of cantha made sure that there are only humans in cantha so there might be some rebels to help you but other than that your going to have a tough time getting in
P.S. did anyone notice that salma is going to be queen salma is gw2 so that means shes ove 250 years old lolz

I do not recall there being an entire legion of female charr, and I do not think that is correct. I do know that female charr were not allowed to fight until about 100 or so years after Eye of the North. They were kept out because some rebelled against the Shaman Caste and were let back in because Pyre's descendant, who was a female, finished the revolution or something like that.
Now that I think about it, the four legions which will be in GW2 are the same as GW1 and I believe that none of the legions focus with female characters. I believe that each Legion focuses on different professions, so if that is true, then we have fought all four legions and, of course, no female charr were in combat. So if I am correct there, then there is no legion thats only female charr.

Seeing how it was out with factions, and nothing was said about EN or GW2 before after the release of Nightfall, I highly doubt that that is a ancient dragon, which is what I'm guessing your implying.

female Charr were released from this oppression and allowed back on the battlefield, as equal members of Charr society.

I knew I hadn't made the whole idea of female charr fighting up. It had been a while since I had read the info so I was a little cloudy, but there we have it.
I reckon Female charr would make much better assassins, if we look at male Charr as Lions and and female Charr as Lionesses I think its quite clear how silent things of that size can be :P... except lions don't wear armor, but you get the metaphor. Charr are big cats.

True that. With proper discipline (as opposed to running in yelling that your target is about to meet a bloody grave), Charr could probably do the job quite well there.

To return to the original topic, I think that Usoku will be a dystopian jerk, and will find some way to survive, so we can kill him.
Palawa Joko, on the other hand, will have a lot of redeeming qualities, but will still be a villain.
And in response to the "Canthan Dragon" comment, the dragon is a symbol and poetic name for Cantha, but it's possible that Usoku is somehow being played by one of the Dragons, or has tamed one. It would be cool if the Deep Sea Dragon turned out to be keeping the seas closed on his orders...but unlikely.

Its the Orr Dragon that is keeping the sea closed off. I suppose the Deep Sea Dragon adds to that alittle but it seems like its the Undead Dragons forces. I also doubt a Dragon is commanding/being kept Cantha. They have no care for the other races and power equal to the gods so i doubt one would be trying to keep it going.

Yes, he will live about 200 years longer then the normal human! He will be as old looking as Palawa if we were to face him in GW2, keep in mind, GW2 is 250 years after EN, and Usoku is the Emporer after Kisu, so he will only make it to about 70ish years after EN, if that.

May be a villain, but the best one at that. Only villain that ever could be a better villain would be Shiro Tagachi, the typical psychotic villain always wins the cake!

Yes, very unlikely, because Usoku should be dead. It is possible that his descendant, the current emperor, is corrupted by the Deep Sea Dragon, but still unlikely.

If I remember correctly, many Chinese emperors wanted to sustain life so they could rule over their empire for as long as possible. I read a book a while ago about that, I cant remember the name >.> they would use all type of chemicals. One of them being Dragons Blood.
So possibley the involvement of the dragon isnt unbelivable, because it would certainly make sense. Another example of hidden involvement is Abaddon and the Lich, and Shiro.
pff I went off on one there, but I hope it makes sense ^^

Suppose Abaddon's plans had succeeded and he had taken over the world and had become restored to full power. With the cooperation of Dhoom and Menzies and all the forces under them, including such generals as Shiro, the Lich, Mallyx, what would have become of the world if the dragons had awakened under such circumstances!

Well, the whole chemical thing might bring a possiblity, but if your implying that it is the blood of one of the ancient dragons, unless it is Kuunavang, I must say that would be dead wrong, as the Ancient Dragons would wake up about 200 years after Usuko as I said. As for the Abaddon, Lich, and Shiro part, they are gone before Usuko is in power.
