Default The Volcanic Islands of the North

Just out of curiousity, wouldn't these islands be home to a form of titans. Because how did the titans manage to come to Charr before they invaded Ascalon and teach them crazy magic. If they were sealed behind the door of kohmalie or w/e. So is it not possible for a off set to be there?

So, in order to fight the human threat, the Charr sought a god of their own. Two hundred years before the Searing, the Burnt warband, a group dedicated to the Flame Legion, ventured to the lands surrounding the Hrangmer volcano (translated to human, the name means “Jaws of Oblivion”). Upon its return, the warband claimed to have found gods for the Charr at long last.
I still believe that is talking about the Volcano in the North due to how close it is and how it says they ventured to the lands surrounding it. Also the fact the Fire Islands have never once been called Hrangmer over "Abaddons Mouth" (Although that could just be Anet making up ancient names for places)

well, abaddon translates as "the destroyer" and if everything is destroyed, what is left but oblivion?

and seeing as we do not ever hear charr speak their own language.........i don't think that the argument of us not hearing abaddon's mouth being called Hrangmer carries much weight

and after all.....the FLAME legion journeying to the FIRE islands............makes sense don't it?

and anyway........abaddon could send demons into the world disguised as humans......i don't think it would've been hard to send some titans for the charr to worship

But then you have to ask yourself how does a warband of Charr make it from the North all the way down to the Fire Island Chain. If they went to the northen one they could simply pass through the Shiverpeaks. Going to the Fire Islands means getting through alot of human terrortory.

I doubt they based a full journey to a volcano just because the islands its on are named "Fire Islands". It also says they ventured to the area around. So they could of never set foot on the Islands themselves.

And yes Abaddon is able to send his minions over to the world of Tyria so i dont think it would be strange to assume he simply sent them to further his master plan.

I don't think it would be that big of a stretch for ancient Charr to have reached the Ring of Fire islands. Remember, there used to be a sea between Tyria and Elona. One can assume that for a huge area of land to be raised from the sea, global sea levels must have had to rise. Since it was an "act of god," you would think that it was a very rapid change, so the water would not have evaporated or otherwise just disappeared. Point I'm trying to make is, there could at some point have been a land bridge, or a much smaller sea, between Kryta and the Ring of Fire.

They were called the Flame Legion BEFORE their journey to the Volcano, so that destroys that theory.

The Crystal Sea turned into a desert when Abaddon was sent into the Realm of Torment, therefore it was a desert by the time that the Charr met the Titans. Basically, when the Charr went to the Volcano, the land was as it is in GW1.

My idea on where the volcano is, is north or east of the charr homelands, off of the map. Makes the most sense to me as there ascalon-looking land in both of those directions at the edge of the maps.
