I don't know the gods have failed to finish the job before (abbadon).

I am of the personal opinion that this will play out somewhat like the titans and gods of greek mythology with the ancient dragons playing the role of the titans.

I reckon that the dragon of Orr will be the main evil entity in GW2.
Sounds pretty badass, also kind of a creepy-crawly feeling knowing there are hibernating dragons all over the place :X

THe main leader of the evil dragons is underground planning something so it maybe like a differnet stroy each year or few months
First stroy Maybe with be like the races starting to see real threat the dragons are and may end with us killing 1 maybe the orr dragon
Second stroy can be we found some anicent magic in orr to fight the dragons now go north to kill the ice dragon armys and charr dragons army
Third stroy is we can now enter cathina and found out what be going on
Forth stroy is freeing elona and stoping dessert dragon
Fifth is the main dragon leader starting his plan
Final stroy is stoping the dragon leader once and for all

I somehow think the dragons will remain the ultimate challenge in GW2, same as in Lineage 2. They will probably be raid monsters that require huge team work / strategy to defeat.
I doubt the dragons will ever be finally eliminated from Tyria, otherwise I dont see where A-Net will further escalate the storyline from there. More bad-ass enemies? sounds very doubtful.

Other rifts/dimensions/worlds? I have a feeling Tyria isn't the only world in existence.

Your soooo wrong :P
Prophecies: End of game with the defeat of the Lich. The Sceptre vanishes.
Eye of the North: We are left with exactly what this topic is discussing, glowing eyes cracking from the wall of a cave.

The Great Destroyer was but a general, and it seems Primordus could swallow him whole in one bite.

Okay now this is offtopic, but why thwe hell are people more and more calling Cantha Cathina?! Not just in this thread but evrywhere. I mean... my English sucks, sure, but Cantha doesn't have anything to do with English and still people write Cathina.

hmm well maybe the dragon you talking about is the gaint dragon in between Grothmar Wardowns and Dalada Uplands. it might be the leader of the dragons in gw2. so my guess is that he'll rise up and blow up the charr homeland or the dragon statues will start to crack and be freed from a curse probably
