Lightbulb Possible Lore use Arbraces of Truth

I was thinking, and maybe the Lightbringer title effect is actually caused by an armbrace. The armbraces grow in power as you slay demons and other spirit like creatures, possibly absorbing their souls, like the soul batteries.

I'm pretty sure the Armbrace of Truth is an item the higher ranked Order of Whisper members carry as a sign that they are trustworthy. Its seperate from Lightbringer.

The effects from the Lightbringer title take effect long before one has an Armbrace of Truth. The Armbraces are just mere trophies, a symbol of Kormir's followers possibly.

By the whispers' words, the lightbringer effect - if it has a lore value - is caused by Dwayna or Balthazar (I get this through "the light" references, if any supernatural force uses light, it is Dwayna and/or Balthazar).

@ Free Runner: You get Armbraces from ghosts (with a small chance from a coffer of whispers). I don't think it is directly related to the Order of Whispers.

I was thinking that maybe they were actually made from the gems sets, then inlaid in an ambrace. I was thinking they were like an antidote made out of snake venom, used for curing that same venom.

Despite the fact a member of the Order of Whispers calls them his "fallen brethren".

Remember, we arent part of the order and can still use the lightbringer powers and get a bracer so its impossible to be just for them.

In fact, its a rare drop - only a handfull manage to get a bracer. Means they might have found one themselfs on their fight against evil rather then it being a part of the order of whispers.

As far as lightbringer effect being caused by an armbrace.. one can actually only state the exact opposite - its impossible to get an armbrace without some progress in the lightbringer title so maybe the armbrace is an effect from being a lightbringer.

I think that is a reference to the dead Order of Whispers, or he meant brethren as in fellow human. Or else the Spirit of Truth would have an Order of Whispers skin, one would think.

Good god I thought that the OP was talking about Ambraces, the duped item.

And The Spirit of Truth says: "Thank you for saving me, Lightbringer. Now that I am once again free to walk among this realm, I offer my services to you. If you are able to gather 15 of each of the four gemstones that exist in the these regions, I can forge for you an item that will prove your valor and trustworthiness to any who may doubt the great service you have performed."

Just to get a direct quote in here.

Or it could simply be a case of the Lightbringer growing in skill regarding fighting Abaddon's forces.

Armbraces are nothing more than an item to prevent one's own corruption when using a tormented weapon, which are too great in power for mere mortals to wield.

Do you have any support for this?

Roleplaying theory? :P

I mean, wouldn't it be dumb that you need 15 of each gemstone to "prove" you can wield the weapons after you've defeated a god instead of the armbrace rather preventing corruption?
