My first choice would be Menzies, because Balthazar can just not seem to beet him... he must be invincible.
Well, if I had to pick an actual God, I would pick Lyssa, because I love the arts, and madness/chaos. I might also pick Melandru, because I am a tree-hugger.

I am still HIGHLY curious as to why people link Lyssa with not only Chaos (reasonable, mesmer damage is either typeless or chaos) and madness. Madness? Where did this come from? There is no "Madness" god. Lyssa is the Goddes of Beauty and Illusions. Basically, she controls what we see, feel, smell, possibly hear and taste. In short, Lyssa can manipulate the five senses of the mortal body.

I like to think of my characters as individual personalities who follow their own particular deities. My main character is an Assassin and, though he is rogue-ish, will always stop and kneel at a statue of Lyssa.
My Rit and Necro are similarly devoted followers of Grenth. My Necro has Elite Sunspear armor which makes him look like a dark priest.
With few exceptions, my characters follow the patron saint of their profession/attribute.

I would have to go for Lyssa and Abaddon.
Lyssa because of this line,

As soon as I read that played as a Mesmer and Assassin that Lyssa became one of my favourites, that and in the mission before Abaddon's gate of all the gods she was the only one to speak.
Abbadon because I seek knowledge and well a god of knowledge and water is fitting, I also feel that his punishment was a bit, poorly done.

I may : Illusion+Beauty(right) -> Art(agruable but right) -> inspiraton (right) -> newness (not right but a logical step) -> chaos (half-right, she is chaotic in the randomness-in-art sense) -> chaotic neutral allignment (?) -> madmen+"what is chaotic leads to madness, (not) right?" -> madness.
On Topic : Lyssa / Kormir or Lyssa/Dwayna : Art/curiosity/truth (as in "seeing the truth")//loyalty/truth. To quote gimli "...What are we waiting for!" (I like that line)
Maybe more Dwayna for loyalty/neutrality.

My pet character is a monk, so I think almost definitely Dwayna for me. Although she started Mo/N, so I'm not exactly averse to the Grenth side as well. (Wintersday is a chore that gets me loads of free goodies.)

Think that every word is a part of Lyssa's port-folio. When I have more than 10 min I'll edit a less confusing reasoning.
EDIT: Now that I look at it, it was indeed very unclear.
The Illusion and Beauty port-folio leads to Art(a lot of artist we see are Followers of Lyssa). Art requires Inspiraton. Inspiration leads to experiment and thus Newness (not part of her port-folio).[I remove choas from there, it made no sense] Those artist will probably be of chaotic neutral allignment, which is the allignment of madmen and ok those likely to be mad, thus madness.
I'm not saying this makes sense logically.
Another one I tought about was :
Illusion alters the sense of others. Which leads the target to do unreasonable things (Sympathetic visage on a male target : "fall in love with the big bad ugly male warrior who just wants to tear off the flesh from your bones"). Those people will look mad, thus madness.
...

Actually, there WAS a god of madness: I'm pretty sure Abaddon post-imprisonment is described as such occasionally.
Although I'm sure Lyssa could drive someone mad if she wanted to!

Ok, I still don't get the chaotic neutral alignment thing. How is neutral chaotic? or vice versa? And this pretty much went off topic of what I was getting at: Lyssa being the Goddess of Chaos. You even had to remove that since it doesn't make sense, so in reality, you are arguing for Lyssa being a "Goddess of Madness" - which in one way she is, one way she isn't.

Abaddon was called mad for being that, the argument here is that Lyssa is maddness for causing it. Similar but two different things. Wanted to state this for the above first. Lyssa is the Goddess of Madness in the sense that she can cause people to go mad - by confusing them to the point of insanity - but she isn't in that she isn't mad herself.
However, gods are not called "God of..." by what they cause, but what they govern/personify. In other words:
Dwayna personifies Life, and governs Air
Grenth personifies Death, and governs Ice and Spirits(i.e., governs and personifies Death)
Balthazar personifies War, and governs Fire and War
Lyssa personifies Beauty, and governs Illusions
Melandru personifies Nature, and governs the planet (kind of a both personifies and governs it kind of deal)
Abaddon originally personified Knowledge, and governed water - in NF he more personifies Madness and doesn't seem to govern anything.
At least, that's my view. Although this is getting off-topic, no?

It's a (pre-4th Ed) D&D term. What it means is chaotic on the law-chaos axis and neutral on the good-evil axis.
A lot of people (mistakenly, IMO) equate it with insanity, but while insane characters have a tendency to be CN or Chaotic Evil, the reverse is not necassarily true.

Torment?
Within the RoT, we have the Domains of Pain, Fear, Secrets and Anguish as well as Madness - it seems reasonable to associate post-Exodus Abaddon with governing these.

Somewhat, yes. Have we ever put together a thread on the nature of the gods in general? At the moment, it seems to be a topic we're discussing scattered across multiple threads.

A quick glance at the Archives (where any good thread topic is) says no. I think GWO has an old thread like this, but I may be wrong. However, do make a thread of this topic so we can bring this back on topic.
As for the Torment thing, it is possible. I would assume that Dhuum governed that while he was around as well. In other words, with this theory, it would be governed by any who go insane.

Definitely Lyssa.
Fry brains.
Rinse.
Repeat.
Now I don't know how effective brain frying would be on gods, but it should work wonders on just about everyone else.
Also, I have a natural affinity towards the arts as well as messing with people.
