lore discussions in the future
sorry if this already has been discussed and asnwered, but I feel the need to ask how we are going to deal with lore discussions here in the future. The history book of gw1 is very likely going to close. I don't expect a lot of new lore. The gwguru and the gw2guru have agreed to keep a sharp separation of the two games (and I think that is for the best). When it comes to lore , the border isn't as clear. A lot of things happening in gw2 relate to gw1 and there may be unanswered questions in gw1 that are going to be answered in gw2. So I would like to propose to draw a line unnder this histry book and make a new historybook on the gw2guru (wich already has started btw).
That doesn't mean that things found in gw2 don't have to relate to this historybook and that the book is finished as it is now. but a new era in tyria history is about to start.
My proposal is to limit discussions here to everything that has happened before 1081 AE. 1080 is the year that the WiK has finished, Ebonhawk was founded and that the Winds of Change quests took place.
Everything that happens afterwards belongs on the gw2guru (beside archelogical finds and cultural developments that relates to the time before 1081 AE. for example it could happen that in gw2 an explanation is given for the runes in maguuma jingle, discussed recently here. that would be a welcome topic off course if that would be the case or people find things in gw2 worth speculating bout that specific subject....
This is however my opinion, pls give me yours....

Beyond is on going. Lore involving GW1 and Beyond would be placed here.
Lore dealing with GW2 is pretty much to go onto Guru2.
Though you can bet most folks on Guru2 won't bother coming here to talk about GW1 stuff (they haven't so far...).
TBH, there isn't a border between the two games, so with lore discussions its best to just go where folks are - in this case, GW2Guru. But it's still "preferred" for topics relating to the first game and solely the first game to be placed here. This is how it's been since Guru2 existed (and iirc, is in in Druid's Overlook's guideline sticky).
Also, WiK ended in 1079. WoC began in 1079 and ended in 1080. 1080 is where GW1 currently ends but Stumme wants to keep going with content and Beyond.

Thats basicly what im saying. with the year of 1081 (even though that the ofmration of ebonhawk atm is clearly gw. I also know what Stumme said. but that was as far as I know before his team was transferred to the gw2 team (for the most the most things). So we don't know if there is going to be new gw1 content, but tbh I think not. If new things are released, off course the date has to be moved.

His team wasn't transferred to GW2. They're just temporarily helping with GW2's release.
Which would be done now. So they're back to working on GW1 (or will tomorrow). Trust me, as member of the Test Krewe, there's still content coming.
But ignore dates. Just "if it's part of GW1 it goes here, if it's part of GW2, it goes here" - because what about talking about a character or event of GW1 from a GW2 perspective? Or talking about earlier events in regards to GW2? The last rising of the Elder Dragons is certainly before 1081 AE, but has no relation to GW1.
This isn't a topic that really needs discussing, since this forum is fairly dead anyways.
