I've finished the elona and dunes quest yet the commander said i still have to do the elona mission.

You have to complete three missions in the desert before ascension.

hmm three?
i completed the elona crystals mission but the commander who handled the elona mission says that i didnt complete it. but the lord ghost at the right says that "cleansed soul something" |

that is a bug - you need to do the fight waves of mobs one.. Thirsty River.
I had same text issue as tcjr and once I finished thirsty river, I ascended. |

I had the same problem but apparently finishing Thirsty Rivers triggers the Elons Reach Commander and vice versa.
