Curse

Hello I've the mission to kill the Eater of Souls in Diviners Ascent and everytime I run to the mission location I can see him above ground for a few seconds but he digs in underground by the time I get there and endless waves of level 20 spiders spawn and destroy me. I tried once to clear them all by taking out a few at a time but more and more kept spawning and the boss never came back up.

I know it's doable though so could anyone point out what I might be missing?

Perseverance?

I helped a friend out, as I was a Monk primary, and it really just takes a lot of dying and rezzing if you get swarmed. I'd say about 35-40 scarabs spawn, so if you haven't killed that many, just keep killing. It's a very simple mission in that respect.
