It seems the mirror is hit and miss.
The first time I fought him, he demolished me. The second time I did, I used the same exact stragety and he couldn't touch me.

I've heard warriors and elementalists have it the easiest. I got through it with skills from my mesmer secondary only. Placement of skills is key though as when I had them on the left ring fingers he used them against me. When I switched them to the right ring fingers, he went through a bunch of skills that really did not hurt me much.

Warriors have an advantage in that the mirror will *use* all your skills, he will *chain* all your skills, but he will not *spam* all your skills. If you have a setup where you can constantly be using an ability, the AI will not think to do that. Instead it will try to piece together good combinations.

anyway all in all how did the mirrior give you guys trouble? i noticed he pulld out his bow and shot me a few times from a distance, witch i had on my switch, this was smart but once i hit melle range and did a classic set up he crumpled
do warrior just have it easy? or is the mirrior not that hard

God, getting tired of all the Mirror quest threads. Maybe keep all your comments in one thread?

Well as a Ranger/Monk I have not yet beat the mirror. If I get close it pulls out a big glowing purple ax and wacks me!! So far the best I've done is hold my own. I removed ALL ranger skills (cause it beat the snot out of me with them) and loaded w/ only monk skills (smiting prayers). I can get the mirror down to half health, but can't get it below that because it always manages to heal before I can get another good smite prayer in there.
Per a suggestion in this thread, I'm going to try moving the more powerful smite prayers to the right side and see what happens.

Try it as a monk and you're perspective on how easy it is will drastically change. To the ranger who was having problems front load some long casting nature rituals and your mirror will cast them first giving you a ton of time to unload all of your offesnse on it.

As a Mesmer, I got backfire up before he did, which is good for 130 damage a pop, and he insisted on casting. It was an easy, 12 second victory.

i buried my mirror in 30 seconds... but then again, im a warrior... :P
and yes, i was quite dissapointed... i thought it would be much harder than that! pwned him with sever artery and gash, and some other moves... i went against him a second time after i kicked his ass, and just toyed with him... using a fire wand and stuff... it was so fun! i still kicked his ass... not with the wand though... pwned him with my Fiery Dragon Sword of Swordsmanship...

Warrior/Smiting Monk here. I kicked my Mirror's behund in about 20 seconds (if that). I simply holy wrathed him, put on strenth of honor, slashed, gashed and final thrust. Hit him twice for 80+ damage..he had me down to about 1/3 health by the end.

I fought the mes/n mirrior, he kicked my ass the first few times. He used my own tactics against me, I know now how annoying it is to be power spiked and energy tapped. After putting on hexbreaker giving him a taste of his own medicine I was able to kill him. Funny thing is that on the first time I got him down to 1/8 health with little trouble then ran out of energy.

Oh yes the monk mirror. A few of my guildies had the same problem. Basically load yourself with all the smite AoEs. He'll stand in them while you can run out of his. Quite easy if you unequip all your heal spells.
-As for Warriors: Frenzy and Heal Sig and he'll destroy himself
-Mesmsers: Backfire and Chaos Storm
-Rangers: Nature Rituals, Troll Unguent and Distracting Shot, when he uses his Unguent interrupt him. He'll use the rituals which will make him waste some time
-Elementalists: AoEs and don't stand in his, no single target nukes like Fireball, Orb or others. Firestorm and Lava Font will kill him
-Necros: any sacrifice skill with Awaken the Blood if you have that. No Life Siphon unless you can interupt his with a skill.
Combo all of the above for your primaries and secondaries so that he uses the gimpiest strategy ever. Best is AoE nukes where he'll just stand in them for a long time.

LOL i had him in like 15 seconds... i just loaded up the good old nature rituals... kind of cheating... but hey... i didnt force him to use those nature rituals which would benefit me...
LOL things like favorable winds (extra damage, less air time), or one where you do x ammount of extra damage every time you attack...
I beaten him before he could even start attacking...
Ow and i also put in fire storm, because he will use it after the rituals and its easy to sidestep + it drains his energy
---
Maybe i should have beaten him fair and square... i think it would have been a nice fight then... but then again... all is fair in war

Run! I tried explaining this to a guild mate of mine. Right behind you to the left and right is a wall and a ramp, both of which you can still cast on him from and gain a brief respite.
