I am a Mesmer/Monk, primary in fast casting, domination, and healing.

I also seem to be having a large amount of trouble beating the mirror self. Someone once told me that mesmer's have it easy, but I am finding that hard to believe right now.

Does anyone have any suggestions for strategies or for spells I should be using? I would really appreciate the help

Problem is that the mirror's cheat.
They use Bow's or Axe's even if your char never used on (and slaughter you with those).

My N/W tried alot of stuff and nothing seemd to work till i only put sacrifice skills in my skill bar and the mirror killed himself. I still died with him but mission was accomplished ^^.

That fight should be cake. I killed my mirror in roughly 10 seconds on complete accident. Here's how:

Equip Backfire in slot 8, Empathy in slot 7, and Chaos Storm in slot 6. Unequip all healing abilites and hex removers. Fill up all the rest of your slots with all the quick casting 'useless' spells you can find.

As soon as you get control of your character, hit Backfire, Empathy and Chaos Storm, in that order. He'll cast all the spells he can at one time, and slaughter himself on your Backfire (120ish damage a pop.) If that doesn't do the trick Empathy and CS will take him out.

When I did it he killed himself before I even managed to get my Chaos Storm casted.

Awesome, thank you. I am trying your suggestion right now...it is working better than what I was doing before. Just have to get my timing better.

Now anyone have anything for a N/Mo?

That one is easy too.

Equip sacrificing abilities in slots 1-6. Preferably skills that don't have any particularly damaging effects, such as: Dark Fury, Demonic Flesh, or Signet of Agony. Make sure to have something to damage him with in the last slots.

For a particularly funny fight, put Blood Renewal on slot 1, and Desecrate Enchantments on slot 8.

I know you answered the question clearly before....I don't really know anything about necro's, so I was asking for a friend....not familiar with sacrifice skills and whatnot...not sure what he could use, or is there were any other suggestions...

really...I'm not trying to get anything started. I thank you both for your input and help.

The N/Mo that I know still hasn't killed him yet, but he is getting closer, as am I. Just gotta get that timing down better.
