Well it takes a few tries. It took me two tries to kill my mirrior. But you just have to abserve what skills he/she uses and find the correct counter to those spells. AS soon as I figure out that, it took me only about 40 seconds to kill him.

The elementalist is probably the easiest of all the mirrors. Just take water attunment air attunment wind attunment and fire and take fire rain. leave the rest empty..he will cast all his attunment spells you cast fire rain...a few secs later he is dead.......

im a w/mo, my mirror was pathetic, i use hammer, and i was doing more than double the damage he was doing to me, and i took out all my healing skills so we kinda just "duked it out" and i won, as for elementalist, i'd suggest equipping 7 absolutely useless skills, and put on one offensive but cheap skill, so u just spam it on ur mirror while he casts all those other useless skills, it should work in theory, but never tried it.

Is it not possible to just assign a single skill?
For example a warrior. Just assign frenzy as the skill.
Sure the mirror image will hit you for an extra 50% damage per Time span if it uses the skill, but it's taking 100% damage in return. All things being equal and no outside influence, shouldn't this be an easy win for the one NOT using Frenzy?

here are two easy methods
bring along a lot of fire aoe spells.
the mirror will stand for the full duration of the aoe.
you, if you play smartly, will move out of the way.
otherwise, you can bring a bunch of useless skills to consume time, i,e attunements, and a few damage skills. mirror will cast attunements first while you pound him with damage. by the time he's ready to cast his damage spells he should be almost dead.

Really? You got to Ascension against multiple mobs at lvl 18 and up in multiple missions that many higher leveled players have minor troubles getting through and you're only level 11...
I'm not going to call you a liar, as a matter of fact, with my propensity for cheating (outrageously most times) I'm going to give you kudos. So how'd you do it? Get more than one account and after your other account cleared all of the mobs in an area, you simply walked through right? You certainly didn't do it the standard way... Good job!
As for beating the mirror, it seems people either figure out a way to do it quick and easy or it's almost impossible. I figured out that as a Ranger/Mesmer I could rush the mirror and from some-damn-where it pulls out this "light axe" which I don't have. Then I could use my marksmanship skills while it's attacking with this axe and couldn't counter them.

A ranger has got probably the easiest self-mirror. It doesn't matter what you secondary prof. is because all you need are useless Nature Rituals (to keep him busy for 5 seconds, then another 5, etc). While he's busy, you simply arrow him to death (ARROW'D!) with Tiger's Fury and Power Shot, or something similar.

Think about it. If you stay back far enough you don't get XP from kills. So, a few high level friends can carry him through the entire thing easily. Another thread is about this so I encourage you to search for it if you don't believe it. I,myself, carried a level 2 person through Nolani Academy (not as a high level but I only had two guildees with me and we work well together).

Meteor Shower and Fire storm are all you need to beat him. You move out of rain.. he doesn't.. You could unequip everything else on your skill bar and probably win with that combination, once you have meteor shower going, its basically game over.
Check again, I'm pretty sure you DO have at least aura..

I play a necrowarrior. At first I tried using only my necro skills but I was overmatched. My second try I used only life siphon and the rest were warrior skills. I beat my mirror that way. Maybe you should try using more of your warrior skills?

Well just a little bit of advice for you maybe try it.....my ele/mes all i took was flare ..lmao seriously its all i took in there and beat it.
if you take anything like meteor or anything that takes awhile to cast to a single location.....if ur mirror casts step aside your not being hit when u cast them usually the mirror just stands there taking the hits.
your being half warrior take some skill that require building adrenaline....it makes those pretty much useless to the both of you.
just my 2 cents

I was a W/mo but defeated it in 30 secs with 1 tactic
I went in carrying a Bow equipped - went all thru the custscenes with the bow in my hand and "hey presto" my mirror image stated shooting me with a bow
I ran straight at him - switched to my sword/sheild and promply cut him to little pieces while he was hitting me for -3 or -4 I was knocking -20 -30 off him

About the mirror--its attribute points are NOT the same as yours. In other words, do NOT assign skills in your skill bar that you have low attribute points for. It will be a waste. What I would do is this:
1) rearrange your attribute points so you have max points in whichever attributes u r choosing (only 2 attributes max i'd say).
2) delete the skills in ur skill bar that u will not use. all you have to do is drag the skill when u're in a city out of the skill bar, similar to how you drop items outside of cities. make sure the ones you keep you can use/sequence in a way that a RL player can beat AI.
3)fight! i think u should be able to beat your mirror quite easily now.

Actually I beat it 5th try I think, I removing all my skills except flare and restoration. Casted Resotoration B4 I step on last stone to the cutoff scene and skiped it. And ran strait up to him he firing flair. He went to Melee and with my resotration I healed faster than he could melee. He went down in like 30 sec.

I'm W/E and I beat the cr*p out of it on my first try, 25 seconds, without reading the help here..
I just equiped my usual spells, the dumb AI casted an AoE spell, I steped aside and started hitting him my sword spells. It went down fast.
