Cool Challenge : The monk can save the word alone!

Lets show to the stupid warrior rushier / Fire ele tanker we dont need them, [put the other class here]!

i propose to form a group of 8 monks to finish all mission after desert (becouse the mission before ascension are easy doneable) and show the monks can save the world without other profession using only monks skill!

actually, i have done this before (once) in the sanctum cay mission... 6 monks with heal/prot stuff. it was incredibly amusing, but kind of boring....

and telarin the only mesmer mob i know of in pve is that one right in dreadnoughts drift on the forge run.. this crazy number of arcanists just sit there.

post ascension missions are mainly mursaat.

Yeah, but they'll have EIGHT monks. Do you have any appreciation of how hard it's going to be for the PvE mobs to kill off EIGHT? They can barely kill two...

Shouldn't be much of a challenge if you skill right. We won HoH with 8 Monks yesterday, so they can hold their own

Theres no way you can finish thunderhead with 8 monks. Arcanists and erm... bosses that you just simply can't deal enough damage to. Like that monk boss.

no is possible

the arcanist can shatter enhacement and cause degen

but 6 healing monk cant heal the 2 person on first line? and there are always spell breaker and as monk there are smite hex , or remove hex

about the monk boss its easy

scourge healing and then sorround him with 6 baldazaar aura and sigil of wraith

in 10 second at smiting 12 are

(22 * 10 + 27 * 5) * 6

something about 2130

and scourge healing at 12 will do something about 67 damage each time he try to heal himself

this without using sup runes

the fresh golem are the only who strip all enchancement and for finish the game there no need to kill them.

anyway enhancement stripper arent a probrem it isnt a party of 8 55hp monk

Given the OP said post desert, you're probably right... But in the jungle, around a nice quiet lagoon, there are a few mobs of level 17 mesmers that would give 6 monks of level 12-15 a run for their money... (yes, I think they shatter enchant... and they cry too )

At that point, , assuming you're like level 12, I am not sure you got either Zealot or Balth aura... (although you can try to get Balth aura at ToA.... which would be a nice adventure for level 12 guys: probably runable...but then, hey you can can run to Droknar too ).
Those lev 17 windriders also got cry of frustration and shatter enchant: you can carry dummy enchant to make room for Balth, but who knows if they're not going to counter your Balth

I do remember having Symbol of Wrath back then

I am not saying it's really tough... And you don't even have to go there... But it got some fun potential, and is a mesmer mob

8 monks? Where's the challenge in that? They heal better than any other class, tank better than any other class and pack a punch second only to air eles.

No, I say do it with 8 mesmer-rangers (with pets)!

8 Monks is not a challenge. Sure there are enchantment strippers and mesmer enemies, but where have you seen packs of 8 of them? The reason why the "holy trinity" is popular is because there is virtually no place in the game where there are loads of mesmers screwing up the entire party. The only places that come to mind are the ones with Storm Riders, Wind Riders, Storm Kin, etc, but those enemies don't even travel in mobs. I can solo them with a warrior just fine, absorbing all the hexes, going down to very low health, but killing one of them before they can kill me and then heal up. With 8 monks you can spam enchantments so hard that they will never be able to remove them all (watch A.Net make a Nature's Renewal spammer). If you are going to take 8 of the same class, monks are the easiest ones to do it with. Against high level bosses, holy damage is the best as it ignores the boss's high armor. Warriors are the ones that can't cause a dent on healing bosses, but 2 or 3 Balt. Aura along with symbol of wrath and other smiting skills will probably kill it even faster than elementalists can. And this is just assuming that nobody brings secondary profession skills to fill the gaps.
