Passing all missions w/hench only is not impossible, but doing all bonuses is the real challenge.

I'm at ring of fire. Only bonus I haven't done w/ henchmen only is thunderhead. Not from lack of their attack/defense power. With shutdown, those mursaat go down like nothing. Anyways, point is, henchmen are really good if you know how to use them. They know how to focus fire and lina and alesia are 2 of the best monks out there (except slightly stupid at protecting "can't die mission fail" characters in which case you should bring some sort of heal, I use healing spring).

The main trick is to not try to deal all the damage yourself. Don't have the mentality that I'm only real player, need to do everything. If there's one thing they're good at, it's basic attacking on the same guy. Using things like throw dirt, distraction shot, power block, blackout, everything goes down like hot knife on butter. I'm not doing much damage but everything including bosses die in under 10 seconds. All enemies are quite useless w/o skills.

ive done it with henchies only problem was the lava part and the monk bosses

It's possible to this with only henchies, you just can't be sure you'll make it every time. Just keep at it, you'll make it eventually. Also, I have found that the amount of "additional mursaat" forces you draw in is quite small, and they come during the first wave, which is fairly easy anyway. So I'd advice everyone to always light the torches and try to get the bonus. If you die on this one you'll die on the 2nd wave boss, which is not linked to the bonus.

I have done all mission/bonuses with henchies and for me the most difficult bonuses were the infusion mission one (has to be played as Mo/x or x/Mo), closely followed by Dunes. The most difficult missions were Thirsty (before Lina, easier now) and Thunderhead. The Ring of Fire ones are tough with henchies, but quite doable. Clearly the most fun missions in the game

Its fairly easy now, although i'm guessing from the age of this thread (damn revivalists) that this was posted before henchmen were infused, which made the missions not only possible, but easy with henchmen.

Why do people think henchmen are so bad? There much much better than random human players (not inculding guild ect.) and all it takes is control. You just have to know how they work - Completed without dying, I think only 1 henchie hit the dirt once when we were swimming in the lava

My bro who plays WAY more than I has ascended and did those last missions with only the henchpeople .
Took him all freakin day . I cant wait to fight my dopolganger in the endfight.
I am going to do thunderhead tonight . Tried about 8 times so far with henchmen and real groups . Do better with the henchies . There are a LOT of newbies there . Probably becuase it is the last place they can easily get a runner to take them with their bought online money .

After failing this mission twice with guildies and human players, I decided to give it a try with henchies. First try was a disaster, got caught between mursaat and jades at the outset. Second try, Little Thom took a lava bath and aggro'ed 2 mobs of lava imps.

On my third try, I ignored the vizier's advice and went for the tower. I'm a R/M and used my bow to pull in/take out the jades before taking on each seal. Takes some patience but it works with henchies dying left and right. Regroup and go for more seals. Once the door was open, pulled more mursaats out and it was a matter of eliminating them a few at a time. Also, I had to isolate the battles with the level 28 bosses, as they were harder to kill.

Finished this mission with ease on the third try with henchies.

With hench you can't take the back way in RoF. I wouldn't EVER suggest the back way even with real people.

Abbadon's Mouth is cake with hench; who do you think went with me skill capping?

Hell's Precipice doesn't take any effort at all with hench; I actually bothered running this for the sole purpose of taking screen shots. People have no faith in our henchman brothers. >.>

Last night the Henchies saved my life, could be my post's title ^_^

I usually play GW with an IRL friend of mine we started together and did all the missions together + henchmen, we beat the game 4 times by now ( with each of our 4 chars) and we've always done it always us 2 + henchmen, i might say that the first time was kinda difficult because we had to figure out how things were working, but now we complete each mission or bonus on a single attempt and flawless, the only bonus we haven't been able to clear each time so far was Killing Brill in the Dragon's Lair Mission, it depends mainly on our characters class combos out of the 8 people from the group.

And I must admit that is a very good thing that it is possible to complete the whole game only with henchies because even if they aren't great fighters, they're better than most of the humans I've grouped with, once we arrived in the southern shiverpeaks we tried not to use the henchies and group with other people cause we heard from here the missions were impossible to complete with henchies, and after several tries on many missions we figured out that we'd better start trying on our own with henchies rather than waiting "the good group" since a single person can screw up a full group who is attually trying to get the things done, and I must admit, I'm sure we finished the game faster than we would have done by grouping, seeing some people stucked on some missions for more than 10 attempts.

Well thanks henchies, you helped us a lot, even if you A.I. is comparable to my old Donkey Kong vintage video game which means almost inexistant...
