Yeah... I think people are refering to these as pants items... not sure why, but I've gotten one before and it does make you angry.

those have been in existence since before the update as well. nothin is more frustrating than being excited at getting a gold or purple, only to id it and find absolutely nothing on it.

Except that this is a monk staff to start with

True that high divine favour is important, but Fire Magic and Blood Magic as the bonuses .. leaves the item lagging behind collectors by far.

If the blood magic bit bothers you, just replace the upgrade with something of your choice. Ofcourse a collector staff would still be the way to go, but it's not a lost cause.

just think of those pants items as free upgrades -^.^-
you should get at least ONE usefull upgrade, unless your vary unlucky, and since it has 3 types of class skills, who is to say they arent there soley for the purpose of salvage for parts?
you have 4 things you can get from it, right? ether 3 different class upgrade, or materials.
so just salvage em, and think of them as a 3 way upgrade chance, and hey, if its pants, you wont feel bad for salvaging it for its possible upgrade

Not bugged. Its muti-purpose thats all. Means you can switch secondaries and it will still be useful. Oh and I 've seen this phenomenom on plenty of golds and purples.
