according to the frog they would mean something when the update came out but i still don't see the point in having them. there was also some talk of new armor sets but as far as i can see there are no new armors. any thoughts?

yea it says he saw new armor in the future ( not in update) - so probably new armor would need them

I personally think they are just something to put money into like...ecto and shards....of course later on they will be for armour prolly but for now....since the rich people can only hold 1.4 million...just buy ecto and rubys and sapphs....you can always sell em later.

Ectos and shards have a use in armor, currently... they are not just "something to put money into"... rubies and sapphires have been "speculated" to be useful in future armor.

I can see people buying those in order to "increase" their money purse. This has been done in real life for thousands of years.

overspeculation led to a great depression and plenty of economical panics. have fun, kids. but if you have max gold, its fine...what are you gonna lose anyway?

edit: not that a great depression could happen in-game anyway...lol.
