How To: Solo Sanctum Cay
So........ you think you are a decent runner, and can get yourself to Sanctum Cay via lions arch?, and still want to continue your running services?
Pictures says 1000 words.........ok 500 because i edited it a bit lol
How it works:
Well, basically you are in a certian spot, where only one side of the mantle will come(the weak side), and you will take minimal beating till the boat is ressurected by Vizier.
You wanna look at the pictures minimap, and align your self with the dark bit above your representation of a green dot.
Skills to bring:
Charge(e)
Sprint
Healing Signet
Shield Stance
Defensive Stance
Healing Breeze
Those are just skills i made up, this is nothing hard, providing you are in the exact spot i showed in the picture, you wont have much to worry about, you'll have 2 rangers, and a ele putting seering heat on you, causing minimal dmg, just put on your stances, and heal yourself if you find you are getting some dmg.
Anyway experement with your own skills, they key thing here is the location, and taking a small amount of beating for a minute or 2.
Conclusion:
If you couldn't make it to the first cutscene, mabye this soloing is not for you, it only requires basic running through weak mobs and healing in between, just a little warning, the undead hound dogs may trap you with extreme lag, so you may have to pick at each one so u can get through the passage, dont worry though, if you have at least a major absorbtion rune, and a good shield, you won't be hurt at all.

See that rise to the left, stand on it and nothing ever comes, nothing at all. Just stay away from the dock and watch the ship rise out of the water, once it's up they all come at once but by then it's too late. You think Anet went to all the trouble of making the impressive graphic of a ship rising out of the water just to have people too busy to see it?

Not a new idea for running this mission. I do the end tanking part 10x ezier. Requires runner to do NOTHING!! lol
only needed skills::
Charge, Sprint, Defensive Stance, Healing Breeze, Purge Conditions, Mending (2 open slots ur choice)
Basically for the end part, it all depends on gear. I have all glads armor, with knights gauntlets (dmg reduce), -2dmg reduce (when enchanted) shield, and 1 major absorb rune. Just make sure you have mending up to 3 pips, (healing = at least 8). With all the dmg reduce and constant 3 healing pips, the first spawn group cant do more than 5 dmg to me at ANY time. Even if their attacks hit all at once. So mending more than compensates for dmg taken, which usually averages around only 2 !!
Sit back and relaxe:: this setup means u dont have to move, cast spells, or attk when tanking this end part of the mission. You can tank that first spawn group INDEFINITLY!! its kinda fun...

That way never works, you cannot go any further to the left without aggroing the left side which includes bosses etc.

it may not be new, but runners doing sanctum cay definenly try to hide the strategy to do it, most of the runners that do it, won't let there customers die incase they steal there secret, and if they die, he/she refunds everyone.
Anyway because i've done this many times, heres another tip:
You'll probably run into the boss warrior executioner, who seems to have a permanent 25% speed increase, so theres no getting away from him, so because i'm a w/me i use imagined burden, hamstring wont work sometimes, as he uses stances, and will evade your attacks.

I've run this thing at least a dozen times and it worked every time. In fact the first time I did it I thought it was broken and left, didn't see the ship, I was looking the other way. So I ran it twice again once each way just to confirm. If you never get in aggro range of the docks, i.e. just let the guy start his chanting don't follow, nothing will be on the map except for a few red dots on the edge. Just enjoy the view while you wait till he's done, as soon as the ship rises all the mobs will make a beeline for the docks, you just run to the docks and board the ship and that's that.
Added: I case I'm misunderstood it's little rise is to the immediate left of the dock on your screenshot, no more than 10 or so game yards away, not the area behind that.

Well, they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but blatant copyright infringement is both illegal and downright dishonest. I have requested a ban of Redz1o1 from the forum and just wanted to post here as a warning to any readers that he is not in any way sanctioned, endorsed, associated with, or acting on behalf of myself or anyone related to my Academy. While I have no specific knowledge of his intentions, I can only assume he means to perpetrate fraud upon those who contact him.

hrmmmm, i can only assume you mean here:
if thats the case then, it doesn't work for, me as they still come, and vizier ends up taking the punishment.
anyway.
15 ectos, wtf....
thats a expensive operation you got going there....
ego on:
i guess i'm a self taught natural when it comes to running lol.
ego off:

That's the rise I stand on with my henchies or peeps but more to the left as far as you can be on it along the far rim. I can't take credit for this, it's known that this mission can be rushed if you let the others die, I perfected it for myself so nobody dies and I can kill as much stuff on the map as I want.
Simply when you get to the door where the Vizier is run in and close the door behind you, leave your henchies outside, go to the Vizier, skip the cut and the henchies will teleport inside, kill everything you find and avoid starting the dock sequence, when you have enough killed, approach the dock the Vizier should be there and start summoning the ship, leave him alone don't follow just go to that hill and wait till he's done and says "Get on the boat."
I tried going to the hill first and inching down towards the Vizier and that works too but you don't have to. The key is you never start the white mantle spawning. If they do the mission plays out as normal.
I've done this with all henchies and with 1 other peep and the rest henchies (2 boxing). All the characters I brought through were my own or my families with vocal comms right there. I don't know how it'll go with all peeps running around like chickens though.

same reason theres blank spots on 90% of the screenshots posted here, to hide the identities of other game players.
i don't think you understand the concept of this kuji, so i'm going to explain it again, the point is to show other runners how to solo the mission so they can extend there running services.

Its not a matter of skills but more of how your strategy works, but what i would recommend for this run is Deflect Arrows because of the archers that attack you, less damage never hurts.

I've been running this for over 2 months now. There is also a way that you get NO AGGRO AT ALL and you don't need to take a beating. Just /dance until he casts his silly ritual. I also do this run for free when/if I'm not busy if anyone would like to whisper "Soaring Warrior" in-game. If I'm not busy I'd be glad to do it. Also if you would like to know how to get no aggro at all, I will have to show/tell you how to do it. Just hit me up IG.

The last three times I went through this mission no mobs showed up at the end. So it is possible, but not sure how we did it.

How you do it without and MOBS is easy...never step foot on the dock. Thats it. Walk up to him and he starts yakkin, but dont let anyon touch the dock, thats the trigger.
