Q about the Doppleganger
Does the Doppleganger just use skills from your primary profession or does he mirror and actually use what's in your skill bar, both primary and secondary?
I kept dying with my necro yesterday and, remembering having seen threads on exactly that topic, I was able to learn the secret of defeating him.
The reason I ask, though, is that when I went up against him with my W/Mo, it was over before I knew it - 15, maybe 20 seconds, max.
I had 4 W skills, Endure Pain + 3 axe (2 adrenaline-based), 3 Mo healing + res. I use the max damage Smiting rod as my primary weapon, though.
I cast Endure Pain on myself, hit him with the rod a few times, closed in with the axe and 4, 5 whacks, he was down.
Was he standing there healing me? It was over so fast it left me scratching my head.

Your mirror will only use skills from your primary that are in your skill bar. also if you have a nec/me than theres the easiest way possibly to beat him. dont take any nec skills at all. bring empathy and diversion and run side to side. cast as needed. i did that with my monk and beat him first attempt with those skills.
also did u really need 4 seperate threads on this>?

Ok, I completed him in one go on every char of mine ( Including bonus ).
Trick is just to take no healing skills at all, just take like 4 sucky skills like useless stuff with high energy costing like verata's sacrifice maybe if he uses that. And take 4 attacking skills, get him normally down to half his hp then spam ur attacks. BOOM!

Holy double post batman!
yeah, best way to beat him is bring nothing or ranged attacks that can be evaded. He won't evade, at least didn't for me and I ran from the attacks he cast on me. I beat him with my E/Mo. Have yet to get there with my other characters.

actually, i remember that when i tried to beat my mirror i brought along some bow attacks, orison of healing, and bane signet. the doppleganger spammed orison and bane signet, which eventually lead to my downfall.

sorry for the multiple posts - when I clicked on the submit button, I got a "page not found" error, so tried clicking on it again. obviously, it was actually working. maybe the mods can delete them.
I went the sacrifice skill route, just let him sacrifice himself to death, with a little help from me.
the first time with my W/Mo went so fast - it was like whack, whack, whack, OMG, he's dead?!! - that I wasn't expecting the necro to die several times and have to come looking on the forum for help.
