How to kill Glint, without really trying
How to Kill Glint without really trying:
all you need is:
1 W/* with max tactics and stances
1 R/* or */R with distracting shot
1 Healer Hench or Human with healing seed and good spike heals (heal other and Divine Boon help a lot)
1 Protection Hench (Prot Spirit is a VERY good thing, guardian and Aegis help too at first*)
4 damage dealers who do not use the following:
swords, axes, hammers, bows (caster henchies work well here)
Rules of the game:
1. Have the warrior gear tank with the egg (and no one else) without self enchants (so leave the mending at home or don't bother recasting it when you lose it, and you WILL lose it) cycling thru stances that do not require shields or weapons (shield stance is out, but I find disciplined stance helps a bit)
SPAM heal sig (the monks will need all the help they can get especially at the end) at lvl 13 tactics it gives 137 hp every 6 seconds (2 casting 4 recharge)
Since the monks hopefully saved your suicidal skin with protective spirit, the -40 armor doesn't do much.
2. Have the monks cast protective spirit and heal frequently so you don't die.
3. Have the ranger sit back, relax and NOT SHOOT while waiting for Crystal Hibernation. Not shooting is important, as those shots DO count for triggering Jagged Crystal Skin. Speaking of Jagged Crystal Skin, this skill is the EXACT reason hammers, axes, swords, and bows are not allowed, as each one deals 100 damage to everyone near Glint (namely the gear tank).
Important note: even though a mesmer could potentially use leech signet, or a warrior could use an interrupt... the only ones that interrupt AND tack on a 20 second recharge is disrupting chop and distracting shot. Since disrupting chop requires 6 adrenaline to use... it's a no go. Distracting shot on the other hand is an on call interrupt.
4. Have the non bow/melee damage dealers use degen and spells to their hearts desire
Moment of truth: When Glint is around 1/4 to 1/5 hp left, she becomes VERY NASTY. She'll use a hex (I forget the name) that removes and prevents enchantments from being cast on the tank, and snares it too. This is obviously EXTREMELY dangerous for the poor tank, as protective spirit goes bye-bye. So, mesmers out there would do well to interrupt it (or the ranger might too, not too sure on the cast time) otherwise the monks have got to really hunker down and lay on the non enchant heals full blast. a few moments later (hopefully) you'll all be extremely excited and pleased as Glint will lay dead at your feet.
Extra Notes: theoretically this could be done with just 5 ppl, (the tank, the distractor, the healer, the protector, and the damage dealer) but the 3 left over slots can be used for warriors who sit on the bench, or other damage dealers. Just make sure to leave Stefan, Little Thom, and Reyna at home, as they will attack Glint until they all die.
Don't forget to take a Screenshot!
EDIT: a mesmer could probably keep Glint's hibernation interrupted with arcane echo + cry of frustration... but it all depends on CoF's recharge time and how persistant Glint is.

remark :
You don't have to take all the damage while carrying the egg. You can easily dodge Glinth's attacks by strafing left and right. Glinth's attacks alternate between having some twist to the left or to the right. If you figure out when to move left and when to move right it is very easy to dodge most of the missiles.
The critical point is when Glinth starts using the hex to slow the egg carrier down. A good way to remove that hex is the mesmer spell "Inspired Hex". It has no recharge delay but when used on player hexes it is replaced by the hex removed for 20 seconds. Since the hex Glinth uses is a creature-only spell you can just spam inspired hex on the carrier.

What a great idea!
However I still like tanking with glads defense (which the tank can cap on the way) just to see that huge white flash when I block her.

Interesting, care to delve into the details?
Just had another thought... would Holy Veil remove the hex instantly (since the hex removes it, causing 1 hex to be removed, essentially nulling each other out? (assuming you had it cast BEFORE the hex hit you))

Easiest way to tank Glint is to take an invincimonk... It worked first time with my monk. (same strat as in the OP except you don't need to forbid other players to shoot the dragon)

I got the job done with my Ranger and 7 henchmen.
Distracting Shot -> Crystal Hibernation makes all the difference.
