Advanced 3 man farming (pics inside)
Greetings, we know already that we the "nuker society" are having a bit of trouble when it comes to AOE spells. People keep saying that we are screwed up, that we must look for a new way to defeat enemies, etc etc etc. Last night i just went farming with my new beta team, which consists of 2 Elementalist and a profesional monk. Wait? Where is the Shout Warrior...? Right no Stance/Shout W/Monk needed. Just 2 elementalist and a monk. I have proven that AOE spells are still the most deadly skills when it comes to farming. With the right combo and casting time, enemies don't even have time to flee... and if they are fleeing from spells, heh they have a bare chance to survive. I have uploaded some covered pics, I want to keep it secret until this thing works 100%. I might release the needed skills for both Elementalists, but oh well you might see at least my Glymph of Energy and Fire Attunement on the status bar. The only drawback here is that we didn't had success with Monk bosses, we are working on this. This post might be irrelevant to some members of this community, so feel free to share your opinions on this thread. We tested this with "gear" run and as you can see, when holding an item you can cast spells, offensive spells, which it's really useful for me because my tanker is doing 2 jobs, tanking (taking -1 dmg only and healing back for +18) and attacking with some close range AOE spells. Have a look.

well looks like a good idea. I run 3 man trips in SF in my guild. Consists of a warrior/mo, spiteful necro/me, healing/prot monk. Works just fine, and very fast skills (echo spiteful), also necro has backfire etc for those annoying monk bosses. IMO I have never liked the fact that so many are dependant on a nuker, and a necro is a far more versatile character, and can do far more damage than a nuker, plus they dont run since they arent AoE spells. Why complicate things by mentioning timing etc, become a necro and you just wipe out anything. seems a good trade off

Hm and whats about Earth Ele-Tank ( Armor of Earth, Kinetic Armor etc. ) + standard Echo-Nuker + Healer-protector ? It seems to be still very easy going, just good team on TS is essential.

i completly agree, almost any kind of necro can be more useful than any kind of ele. I play minion master, works very well with mark of pain.

I either play prot/heal monk or spiteful necro while doing 3 man runs. also like to put out some sympathetic, just to drain energy, and then just unleash the spiteful casts. quick kills, especially run with keg or gear runs. agro around 20-30, all dead within a minute lol.nuker vs necro, not even close competition unfortunatly.

Bah, Backfire won't interrupt MoP, or remove it.
Rend. FTW. It's the only way to be sure.

Yup, we were a 4 man farming group before, but the other Elemetalist got d/c or else...he quit, so we decided to give it a try since the tanker ele can really tank and do some damage. I can understand that Necros are more versatile than Elementals, but i wanted to share my testing experience with everyone here.

Yes you are right but we don't have TS, so we rely on patrols patterns and i am not an Echo user.

I very much agree with the necro statements, curses can do much more damage over time than nukes, and a necro has many different abilities. But sadly noobs never add necros in mission parties, so thats why i dont have one, it would be too difficult to raise him

My Nec was easy to party - of course, I solo-powerleveled at Lornar's and was lvl 20 from there on out. :P 12 At least in Blood makes you very powerful - forget Death unless you are doing farming or specific missions that require hordes.

Not sure what the enchant is with a few men on it...but I guess the Balth Spirit and Life Attun is from the Monk.

hmmm...I have a very succesful air combo using chain, that with one necro as minion/battery is extremely quick. I won't post yet, because I've been able to do farming runs in less than 30 minutes with this setup (and am enjoying the benefits of this right now but want to say that using AoE's is both outdated and unnecessary if done correctly in SF/FA. Only caveat is that this is with 4 man team's min, though we can kill anything, monk bosses included...
I've never tried farming with three, though would love to. Unfortunately, linking up ad hoc with people from warcamp usually doesn't work, and I'm not in a guild (though it sounds like I need to get in one
Peace,
Acolyte Devathi

You have 2 /mes secondaries there, pack a cry of frustration or leech signet on one or even both of them.
I used to carry that on my minion master in SF - to make sure all corpses stay mine, my precioussssss .

Perhaps a bit of privacy, but it doesn't matter anyways. I stopped SF farming so yeah.... not big deal now.
Tanker Skills
Stone Daggers
Whirlwind
AfterShock (makes enemies run away, so beware)
Earth Attunement
Armor of Earth
Kinetic Armor
Aura of Restore (gives you 18 HP per Stone Daggers)
Ether Renewal (gives 90 HP and 12 EP per Stone Dagger when active)
This is my Ele/Me solo farming skillbar. I farm Tundra Giants, Trolls, Melee Avicaras, Gryphons, etc, anything melee.
Damage Ele
Fireball
Phoenix
Meteor Shower
Rodgort's Invocation
Mark Of Rodgort
Fire Attunement
Aura of Restore (useful for Grenth's Footsprint)
Glymph of Energy (no exhaustion yay)
^You can exchange everything you want. No big deal on this build. As for the monk I don't quite remeber her skillbar setting, but you need to be a good bonding/healer monk and have lots of patience. I stopped testing so if anyone comes up with a better strategy/build feel free to post it here.
