W/Me solo griffon-farming build
Hello,
since the nerfing of the smitebuild I've come up with the next build to do runs in about 5-10 min for those who like to use a sword.
Skills:
Physical Resistance
Ether Feast
Energy Tap
Sever Artery
Gash
Galrath Slash
Hundred Blades
Riposte
Attrib:
Sword: 13
Tactics: 11
Inspiration: 8
rest on strength
Armor:
Gladiator set with ascalon helmet
Weapon: Preferebly a sword with dam +xx% while in a stance
Shield: Preferebly one which has -2 while in a stance.
N.B. I havent tryed putting tactics down in favor of higher strength, it might work better.
Go to the first group of griffons and lure them to the second.
Cast Physical Resistance.
Use all your attack skills
Always keep your HP above 50% (griffons use final trust) use Ether Feast whenever needed.
When low on energy use Energy Tap.
Don't take bonetti's defense! This is a stance skill which doesn't stack with physical resistance. You need to cast physical resistance again which costs 10 mana, making bonetti's useless for keeping up energy, it also cuts down your armor. Therefor energy tap is better for energy management. It also has the advantage to use all of your skills whenever you want which is not possible with bonetti's.
An alternative for hundred blades is gladiators defense, However the long cooldown time makes hundred blades a better choice for damagemaking. Drawback is that hundred blades can only be capped in the last mission.
Happy farming.

5-10 minutes is a long time for a single run. My W/Mo can do a run in about 3-4 minutes easy.
Besides, farming griffons is pointless now anyways - they've been nerfed to hell.

They didnt nerf the drops, i found a bowgrip of fortitude health +30, a scroll of hero's insight and a golden shield with health +45 (hexed) in a single run. And the time needed depends on my position within the group of griffons, sometimes HB doesnt hit all enemies which makes the run longer, but when it does hit all of them its easily done in 5 min. I also posted this thread because I like to try new builds. W/Me for example isnt used often in solo-farming as far as I know. Maybe it isnt as practical as other builds but I think trying new stuff is always a good thing to do.

I prefer a pure warrior build. That looks like it will work as well.

Go pure warrior!!
Forget about inspiration. just go pure warrior. put dyolak signet in there and pump up the attributes in strength. So your build would be focusing only on swordsmanship, tactics and strength.
well done for posting this build though.

as far as griffins being nerfed, try staying away from certain areas for a day or 2 or try not to farm the same place more than 2 runs a day, you'll get better drops the longer your away then go back, or try areas you don't usually farm, or places or missions you don't normally do or skip.
Also the more a certain placed is farmed the less they have overall for all players, if so many people didn't farm the griffins so much the drops would be better.

hydra farming ftw my new build can take 12 hydra at once (if i manage to get to take on 12 a once) and i have done the exact saem build with all the grawls by port sledge(well i killed all the hammer ones at once but could not do anything to the crones) and i done it one 6 mangho hydra(was dodgy)
still looking for more melee areas to use it , manage to own all the trolls in the caves without my healing going below 90%.
i worked it out the other day and have done some hydra farming and just reached my 150th hydra claw i will post this build once i reach 1000 :-) (wont be too long)
