It may have been mentioned before, Capitalist, but it's a freaking 18 page thread. Really read through all of that when it takes 20 seconds for someone to type an answer for me? Ha.... amusing really

Allthough Anet wont nerf skills its obvious they are not happy with this build: consider the taking away of the -50 health icon and the recent adding of bleeding/deep wound on Aatxe. Generally the last thing will only make regular UW runs with a party more difficult. For me its not important to get fashion gear, I just like the challence of going solo. I find it sad that Anet seems to oppose the concept of soloing...

You can't use mend condition on yourself, you must use mend ailment. There isn't any real problem dealing with the Aatxes anyhow. You don't need mend ailment to survive and it doesn't really increase the rate at which you kill them.

They removed it? Lame, ANet. LAME.
I knew I should've gotten one of these for every character. I figured they were going to do something like this. I only bothered to get one. (Could've sold the others for some loot. What's the going market rate for one of these?)
Of all the fixes to nerf this build I'd figure they'd do something like take away the ability to shift attribute points in zones and make attribute refund points FREE in towns/outpost/mission gathering points so you could experiment at will. IMO that's the way it should be, not the way it is now, with free switching at any time but a 250xp cost for every refund point. I also don't see why they allow armor switching at will but didn't put in an armor set toggle (like weapon set toggle) or simply combine the two into a superset toggler. That's ANet for ya.

-50 is there. It doesn't say it as the reward but when you do the quest you will see it's a -50. Also, they have been causing Bleeding and Deep Wounds since before this thread started, it's nothing new.
And for Melkor, this question has been answered no less than 5 times already in this thread, and if you had bothered to even read some of it you would have known instead of making it even more cumbersome by filling it with useless and duplicate misinformation, as well as this totally useless response. I don't see why anyone should go out of there way to help someone who is too lazy to hit the search button.

I know bleeding and deep woulds were there earlier, I only never experienced Aatxe to cast them in a cumulative way: In all my earlier runs a 4 Mending compensated the casting of 3-6 Aatxe easily, today I was only able to take out 2-3 Aatxe at once, using the same variation on the 3.0 build (Symbol of Wrath instead of Watchfull Spririt for more dmg).
Edit: (Whe rereading 'all my earlier runs' I realize it were not that many runs since Europe does not have favor so often lol! So maybe I just ran out of luck today and should return to the build with Watchfull spirit)

ok maybe I didnt try the buuild more than once. yes I had 6 regen on health and your right about taking a lot of hits with the 105 build, but I use a different build that I preffer anyway, without using that icon. Maybe it does work and I was too impatient. All I know is I stepped into 5 aatxes and never got my bonnetis charged in time to even cast SoJ before I bled to death, and kept getting interupted.

Too lazy to hit the search button? Do you know how many results come up for "solo" and "FoW"??
If you dont want to help, then dont help. But dont be negative either. If no one wants to help, well then I'll go and look. Real mature of you.

1. You should read the whole thread. There is much more information than on the first post. That was more of a "Beta" build and there are a number of other builds that solve some critical flaws from the first one, all of which are viable and have different strengths and weaknesses. It also contains multitudes of strategies for dealing with all of the different enemies you will find in UW
2. If you had read any part of the thread you would realize that Protective Bond will reduce all damage to 5% of your HP regardless of your armor, so you can use pre-searing if you want. Most people choose the tatoos for the energy bonus as the rest is irrelevant. Lions Arch Tatoos are the cheapest to obtain.
3. I still think you are lazy

Now look... in the time you've spent flaming me and making yourself look like an ass, you could've probably just typed 8 skills and been on your way, making yourself twice as useful and half as obnoxious.

Melkor, many people who tell someone to search the forum before asking can answer the question with the same effort. And they probably did many times until they got tired of answering the same questions over and over. Its no flaming, just a way of self protection. But I understand that knowing someone who can just give the answer but does not do it may cause a spontanious reaction of one of the fingers . Just try to see both sides of the story.

miteethors Build (post number 275) is the best I have tried yet! Thank you miteethor I can stand there and let 6 or more Blade aataxes <---sp Beat on me all day long with no problems! Only thing is I don't have Shield of Judgment yet so I use Symbol of Wrath until I get SoJ.
Thanks miteethor

Are you talking about finding the historical monument of Surmia for the Cities quest? You have to go into the Ruin of Surmia mission (already stated by you, but just reiterating for anyone else who needs to know) to get it. It's near the far end on a hillside just past the river, which means you have to play through the mission a ways to get to the site. You can't really run there either, as this is an 'escort Rurik' quest and leaving him alone means he will most certainly die before you can get to the place. You have to stick with Rurik until he gets to the drawbridge, then you can go the rest of the way alone as he leaves you to go around and lower it (don't bother with this - no need to get to the site).
If you have the Cities quest on your mission log, the green marker will show up in the mission map once you enter RoS.
EDIT: So the -50 item HASN'T been removed? Just a misunderstanding from one of the earlier posters in this thread?

Also, Blessed Signet DOES work in UW, just not against Grasping darkness. However, you can use it against Ataxes, Smites, Coldfires, and Dryders. It even works inside a Malestrom because a signet isn't a spell therefore isn't interrupted. And Bonettis works against Ataxes, Grasping Darkness, and Smites but not Coldfires or Dryders, so by bringing both I can do anything I want.

Does your V3.0 build work for an E/Mo? Remember that's what I am. I can't have level 17 protection or any of that nonsence.
