The question isn't whether you can solo multiple Gypsie Ettins at any time...it's whether you can solo three Level 12 Mergoyle Wavebreakers.

You can test out your ability to do this by stepping outside Gates of Kryta and trying to kill the three Mergoyle Wavebreakers there. If you can, then you're ready to solo some Ettins.

1. Go to Divinity Coast (the last mission in Kryta).
2. Enter mission solo with no henchmen.
3. Once you enter, there will be a group of three Mergoyle Wavebreakers to the left. Kill them.
4. Run all the way along the path to the town. You may encounter some Bog Skales and some Spined Aloes along the way...just run past them, as they will stop following you once you get into town. Total trip should take you 30 seconds.
5. Go talk to Justicar Hablion in town. He'll tell you to cleanse yourself.
6. Follow the movie to get cleansed. You'll have to fight three more groups of 3 Mergoyle Wavebreakers. Once you kill them, you're cleansed.
7. Go back to Justicar Hablion and get the Eye of Janthir.
8. A villager will automatically follow you at that point.
9. Go through the main gate. Once you go through the gate, there will be two paths...a green path to your left (a little hard to see) and a dirt path to the right. Go to the left.
10. Stay to the left, avoiding Inferno Imps and Spined Aloes and running past them if you do encounter them. Total trip should take you 30 seconds.
11. Now you should see two groups of 3 Ettins each. Your villager may be with you (or may not be, depending on if you encountered any imps/aloes). It doesn't matter.
12. Charge the Ettins. They will huddle around you, at which point they will be knocked down by the Eye. If you run back at this point, they will usually not follow you...they will stand right beneath the eye.
13. If one does follow you, charge back to the eye and he should get stuck like the others.
14. Now you can sit back and nail them with whatever long-range attack you want. Spells, bows, etc. If your target uses healing signet and it is not interrupted by the Eye, switch targets to the next one. The healing signets will eventually get interrupted in perfect rythym with the Eye.
15. After you finish that first group, go kill the next group of 3 Ettins the same way.

It's a bit longer than the Beetletun run (since you have to kill 4 groups of Mergoyle Wavebreakers and have a minute of running time), but it's something that any character can do at any level (as long as you can solo 3 Level 12 Mergoyle Wavebreakers at a time, which is very simple IMO). It's also a very nice way to power level a lower-level character.

Not bad.

But when i did this mission i only saw 2 groups with 3 ettins in each. Its much quicker to just solo a run around the Ascalon Settlement since Bettletun has been more or less nerfed.

I myself farm minotaurs and griffons in the desert.

Just the other day 2 Gold Aegis' dropped. oooo lucky me

yup I have been doing that run for ages, there's only 6 ettins unfortunately

You're absolutely correct. This was mainly for someone who either (1) didn't have a pre-existing character that matches the normal Ettin Farming builds or (2) wasn't strong enough yet to do Ettin Farming.

It's definitely slower, but it's a way that someone who doesn't want to create a character to do the standard farming run, yet get a rune or two and power-level their character relatively quickly.

As long as your there you can do 2 more things, run under the bridge and take out all the Drakes, got some decent drops from them and then cross-over the bridge go up the hill turn left and there are 6 more ettins down the path.

lol over the weekend i got my first sup abs then within half an hour i got 2 more from ettins. lol dont u know thats bout the time the top price on them hit 70k

Most people alternate between #2 and #3, so that you can rezone and have the Ettins respawn.

Congrats on the awesome farming, I have made this run at least a hundred times, I still
have not gotten a sup. vigor or absorption, and yes I mix up my farming, to let spots cool off, I have probably gotten 20 major absorptions and vigors.

now I can buy a new monitor......

Ok huh???? You all want Ettins? Griffin's Mouth between Beacon and Gates of Kryta... its an area FULL of Ettins. If you can battle mergoyals (I can take on 9 or more with no difficulty) then clear the area from Gates of Kryta to the opening in Griffin's Mouth. Map through the portal and have fun.

If you want high level Ettins... go farm outside Ember light camp. Always a couple in there if you can beat the Hydra.

not kidding on the 3 drops. bout shiet my britches when the first one dropped. mind u ive been farming alot and i mean alot here. prolly 5-6 months or so. lol shame it takes away from my UW time lol.

The only ones that drop anything worthwhile are the Gypsies.
