Ok, a little griefing and ????, are ecto drops getting hard to come by for
anyone else, my last 3 runs with 3-person trap team, has yielded 1 ecto
for all us on 3 runs, very poor return on time, and it was not for me of course. Is there a way to get ecto's to drop more, we cleared out the place,
all smites, coldfires, ataxxes, darkness, all for 1 ecto, and the chests here
are the worst in the game, spend 2 hours clearing the place to get 2k
profit, spider runs blow this away, I have only had one spider I did not get
a shard in, but a gold shadow blade dropped, for UW being the hardest PvE
part of the game the drops sure do not reflect this.

Anet if you are there. plz no more demonic remains...

p.s. no, I do not over-farm UW, lol..... maybe 2-3 trips a week.....I farm the
entire map, currently having a blast farming Titans, a fun to fight
and very challenging.

In my last 2-man UW smite run 5 ecto's dropped. So I guess it's just bad luck. Also, the smites are being farmed by many, many people. Places like the chaos planes aren't being farmed at all, so the drops might be better there.

lol you have bad luck I did dual 55monk and ss/sv nec, and we both got 3 ecto and 1 run and the next run we both got 1. I also got good drops out of chests too.

Spawning pools, Bone pits, Chaos planes. drops are way better over there. And I know 3 man trapper can clear Twin sepant and even Chaos planes. Wayyy better drops over there and it's more exciting.

Drops are indeed all luck, also I believe tis true that the smite crawlers are being over farmed and as such their drops are not very good. I do usually get better drops in the chaos plane than in the ice waste, but I still think it's all luck.

doing smite run and spider run (pet spider not Fow) are fun, and i do mean fun.
going behind those points are ..hmm less fun.
read the part about the Banished Dream Riders thta if you kill you get "their deaths will spawn droves of Mindblade Spectres — first three, then six, then nine"

Ecto luck is odd... 10 smite + vale runs with no ectos, then lots on the 11th.

What others have said, mindblades have quite nice loot... however they aren't a picnic to kill unlike the mobs on a smite run (and the chaos planes ones are significantly harder than the escort of souls ones, there are more and more spread out).

A couple of nights ago, I was doing the spider run and got 3 ectos from the cows. No ecto from the smite runs. Did a couple of runs last night and I got nothing while my UW partner got just the one ecto. However, I did get myself a black widow spider pet.

ive cleared all of uw a couple of times , drops are random and i dont know why the suck at Chaos planes

. I thought that the drops would be good there but they are not. My team opened 2chests there both were purple...lol
