Solo Ids Farming w/mes
This is a fun build that I run when America doesnt have favor. Sprint/ Savage Slash/ Hundred Blades/ Doylak Signet/ ele resistance/ watchyourself/ Balanced Stance/ Final Thrust. (Not neccasarily in that order)
Equipment. Grognars Defender/ Shadow Blade of warding. +5 against elemental dmg. I switch from grognars to the Rankor Collectos shield when i reach the imps. Sup absorb/ Sub vigor/ sup sword/ minor tactics/ minor strength.
How to do it: The hardest part is making it to mineral springs alive. Once u get into mineral springs go right past the enemies till you reach the collector right before the giants. Start going at the giants and up in a narrow pass. Use Balanced stance so that they do not knock u down. Run past the boss and the minions at the top of the pass. Your at the cave now. Use a bow if there are trolls to lure the trolls to u. If u get some imps that is ok you will not take any dmg from them and if you do take dmg it will be about 3dmg a hit. Kill the trolls first followed by if there are any siege golems. Then hae fun killing the imps. HAve fun.
GrenthandZeus is my ingame name if u want to see it.
This build is to help the people out that are not the best with making or running builds.

UW solo easier? I find that extremely hard to believe. What build do you do for UW solo?

How do you get past the ice beast with just Savage. With the decreased casting time to Mist form you have to "guess" when he's gonna use it. One mistake and 3 mins of damage gets healed.
Swap it for distracting and get it every time. Sure you won't do extra damage to ice imps.. but then again you don't really need to.
The are usually enough imps in the area behind the Ice Beast to make it worth your while to get to them.

Actually if you have done enough runs the ice beast cast mist form at the exact same time on the health bar and it usually follows another skill. I have never had it not do this. Maybe its jsut luck that he always casts it there and maybe not. As for the Uw Solo. When you do it for a long time it jsut comes second nature. Just because you dont think it is easy doesnt mean it is. Like any farm the more you do the easier it gets and i do the uw farm quite often.

hmm, seems to use it at different times for me. I can usually guess right about 75% of the time.. but that 25% is enough to drag the fight out over many long minutes.
I could just suck though

I can usually kill the ice beast by himself (may take a while sometimes) but the problem is how do you get past the 6-7 shadows, I usually don't come close to killing one of them before they kill me. Any suggestions?

I agree with murder In China. I have to heal after every other hit because i use hundred blades and that kind of hurts with there backfiring skills. Ids still drop. Does any one know if it is possible to get a gold ids. I know no one has ever gotten one but could it be that they are jsut that rare?

Lol, I can take on the shadows 3 at a time, but I get so bored fighting the ice beast w/o distracting that I usually give up.
Pretty so there are no golds.. doesn't make sense with the system. IDS's are non variable (always req 9, 15^50). I think the game considers them a collectors item. Hence the Blue status.
