Update
Hi Guys,
Thanks for all the helpful advice, I haven't yet subscribed to the mending and FDS school of Whammos yet, but maybe one day...
I'm now at Droknars with a build that I am starting to love.
Swordsmanship 9+2
Tactics 12
Strength 10+1
Healing Prayers 6
Skills are:
Endure Pain
Galrath Slash
Griffons Sweep
Defensive Stance
Watch Yourself!
I Will Avenge You
Restore Life
Healing Signet
I have Glads Armour from Amnoon Oasis (About to upgrade at Droknars)
I love this build... I can use Endure Pain, Defensive stance, Heal Signet, and Watch yourself to stay alive for ages and Galrath & Griffons to take down foes. Give me a good monk and I become damn hard to kill.
Even went 1-on-1 with Glint for about 30 seconds before he finally pwned me (it's not that good..sadly)
Finding it works real well, but if anyone has good suggestions to improve, I'd love to know.
Oh, and I worked on that build myself, following useful advice on the Build a Better Warrior series...so apologies if anyone thinks i've just nicked their build.

LOL. That's so funny, but unfortunately it really isn't when it happens to you. By the way, I heard the whole Leeroy Jenkins thing was staged. Is that right because it looked pretty good.

Since you have no healing skills equiped (restore life doesnt count) dont put points in healing.
You could swap defensive stance for gladiators defence (can be capped in dragons lair if i remember correctly), cause to problem with defensive stance is that it ends when you use a skill.
I have other suggestions but I dont want to spoil things for you, I think it's good you're trying out stuff yourself . But if u wanna hear my suggestions just message me ingame.

Thanks for that...I'm looking to go back and get glads defence this weekend, but maybe i gave duff info on my stance (i'm at work and have restricted inetrnet)
Its the one where you get 75% chance to block but can only move 33% slower, and seeing as I rarely need to run once engaged, it works pretty well for me.
I put the 6 in healing just becuse the extra pts in tactics/strength etc, made far less difference to my existing skills, and I wanted to rez palyers that wouldn't die immediately.
still have the 2nd 15pt quest to do, so maybe this will chnge once i complete that.

if u want to be a good wammo, just forget wammoing completely, Bring succur, Lifebond or Bal spirit if you must, and drop them on the monk. he/she will love you for it. By helping the monk like that you can stay alive longer than if you just helped yourself. Sure, it means relying on somebody else, but you got better dmg, and ur making a bigger difference to ur team than a +3 mending will ever do.

Don't worry, you're better than the warriors I have to team up because of my timezone, in any case. By a ton.

Lol. Use smiting: its one of the best support lines in the game. Balthazars spirit for yourself and Succor really helps your monks.

Does he have rebirth yet, seeing it's Maguuma?
Oh right, he's in the Desert now.

You shouldn't. They were joking. Most of those mending and FDS school of Whammos they are talking about are absolute jerks. (Not to say all who have mending and FDS are jerks, but that's what they implied, IMO.)
Do what is best for you. But definitely swap out Defensive Stance for Gladiator's, Restore Life for Rebirth. I'm thinking about Dolyak Signet, but that's your choice.
And yes, Balthazar's Spirit doesn't hurt.

More Updates
Hi Guys, back again.
Now at Ring of Fire ( aka Land of Infinite Warrior Deaths...how hard!!!)
This is my current build, although i do move skills according to the mission.
Strength 10 +2
Tactics 11 + 2
Swordmanship 10 + 1
Skills
Endure Pain
Galraths
Riposte (better than deadly riposte imho - faster recharge)
Glads Defence
Watch Yourself
Savage Slash
Ressurect
Heal Signet
I have 1.5k armour from Droks, Mainly Glads, but with a platemail helm and knights chest.
I've also got a 15-22 barbed butterfly sword of Fortitude and a pair of shields 16+8 vs blunt and 16+9 vs pierced.
I am struggling to get anywhere in Ring of Fire...is it really meant to be so tough? are there any elite skills that can help out, or have I got my build totally wrong for this mission?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Here's my two cents...
You should swap out endure pain for something else imo. Fake health = Monk Hate. The spike damage when the skill ends can sometimes get rather annoying...soo yeah. Suggestions : Final Thrust?
Also, Ressurect should go. Seriously. Swap that out for rebirth, helps the group out. Alot.

A decent whammo can tank with stances. I don't care if you are a drooling ape in front of the computer just don't focus doing dmg in high level PvE. Racthoh's VIM build works wonders in just about any situation.

Thanks for the advice guys, I have swapped savage slash for dolyaks to up the armour levels and kept galrath plus one over for my damage. i use riposte if heavy on the melee attacks and savage slash if need to interrupt, otherwise power attack.
It's slow, but it gets the job done, and it saw me through Ring of Fire without dying once ( although I manage a good balanced PUG, which is also a rare thing.
I am at abaddons now, and i've been told its the last quest. dunno whether its true?
