Okay I've beaten the storyline up to Cavalon. I'm working on quests in the area and I decided to do Charting Jade Sea. I've walked in and out of Cavalon plenty of times before, but when I just tried to walk into Cavalon from Zos Shivros Channel the gate is down. Why would a town be locked off it I've been able to enter the town before?

You need to do the Befriending the Luxons quest to get into that mission. The same applies on the Kurzick side with Befriending the Kurzicks to get into The Eternal Grove.

From what I read, in order to enter House zu Heltzer or Cavalon in the first place, you need to finish the Sunjiang District mission.

they made cantha so you cant get "run" you bascially have to do the quests to get through it... follow the story mode..

i understand what Ka El Windstorm is getting on, coz i've gotten the same problem, and i think its weird.

i've beaten up to sunjiang district, and have Cavalon and Zos Shivros Channel both on my map for me to map travel. went to Cavalon yesterday, then from Cavalon to Zos Shivros Channel.. at Zos Shivros Channel, saw the Cavalon gate but its locked. weird that i have to map travel to Cavalon although its just next door? i understand that anet is trying to stop running, but could this be a bug here? anyways, i'm ok with mapping

finally anezka, ty for understanding what i'm talking about..it happened to me again, except this time I had finished the primary quest befriending the luxons and I still couldn't exit, this time i was trying to leave a town out a certain exit cause it was closer to my quest. And it was locked.
