It is difficult to do. My guild went through with 6 of us just down through lornars to unlock the map. Was much easier than with henchies, but still tough. If nothing else, add two henchies to go with you.
After lornars you get to Dreadnaught's Drift which is a very difficult zone. Once you get past that into Snake Dance though you should have a relativelyk easy time of it.

Recruit some more level 20's in Beacons Perch and take it slow and steady? There should be no shortage of people wanting to work on their Explorers title that would help you out. The henchies in Beacons Perch are like, level 10, so they suck in the high-level zones you're going to.

Walk from LA to Bergen to TOA to Fisherman's Haven to Sanctum Cay, do the mission, Arrive in Amnoon, do the desert missions & ascend, the first elites are available inside the Dragon's Lair mission anyway, which you can only get to by ascending. Plus it gives you access to TopK.

Wrong, there are elites available in the Crystal Desert missions.
Some that I know off the top of my head:
Monk - Word of Healing - Thirsty River
Ranger- Marksmen’s Wager - Elona Reach

Actually all of the elites in the Ascension Missions are the same, even the same named bosses. To add to that list is Warrior's Endurance, Mantra of Recall, Order of the Vampire, and Ether Renewal

Well the point is you can capture elites before going to Dragon's Lair.
In anycase, get yourself a full team of level 20s, the areas leading to Droknar's has been buffed time and time again to make running harder. Use to be dead easy at one point.
Get a balance team and take it slowly, pulling mobs in small packs. If the situation gets bad, run for it! I found if you have anything more then 30% DP, your going to have problems.
