sig of devotion, the whole idea of those seals is to lure the groups that stand next to them to you, then let your team kill the seal, but it's always hard with seals, cause they drain your energy

There aren't any ether seals in Hells Precipe. There are quite a few in Abbadons Mouth, so I would suggest heal party and signet of devotion, plus a good energy management spell for when you have to stand outside the range of the seals. That will make it a lot easier to spam heal party. Or you could try going bonder and just spam blessed signet for energy.

Thanks for the suggestions. I forgot about Signet of Devotion. I will definitely equip that and Heal Party for Abbadon's Mouth. I think that I'm typically pretty good and energy management except when there is the drain from ether seals then it gets overwhelming.
Your absolutely right about luring the groups away from the seals, but when you have people that don't listen to you then it makes it pretty hard. I guess maybe I should learn to be more of a hard ass monk and try to dictate the group strategies more by refusing to heal or rez if players don't listen or don't use good team play.
As a side note, one thing I find more and more lately that I find incredibly stupid is players not bringing a rez skill. Just because a PUG may have 1 or 2 monks doesn't mean they aren't susceptible to getting killed. I've been on a couple missions lately where the group fell apart and got killed except for 1 or 2 players left and none of them had a rez. Just plain stupid if you ask me.

Signet of Devotion, Longbow.
That's really all you need.
Stay outside of the ether seal's range at any time possible. Make sure you are not standing where two energy drain areas overlap. When someone inside needs a heal, step in and heal, then get out. Use Signet of Devotion when you have time and when you need to conserve energy. Don't use Healing Breeze.

Stay in the very backline. In a PUG, Never assume anyone besides you has a res. Don't be afraid to ditch the party if you see the wipe coming. You can always come back and res them. Rebirth is your skill of choice in these types of situations.

The seals only drain your energy if there is a mursaat tower associated to them, as it isn't the seal that does it. Those only appear in the Ring of Fire. Abbadon's has seals, but they don't draing energy.
It is just something you have to deal with. It sounds like you were doing the right things. It is important to pull any mobs around the seals out first so that all you have to attack is the seal. Then hit it as hard as you can quickly so that you don't have to spend a lot of time healing.
The hardest part is the front gate of the fortress once you are inside. Those two towers on the inside can be very tough because you are bottlenecked at the entrance and line of sight can be a problem for most attackers.

heal party + offering of blood (or mantra of recall) means you can heal the party from a distance. SoD helps too.

I haven't capped Mantra of Recall yet. Although, even if I did I'd have a hard time justifying using that instead of Word of Healing. I guess every situation is different and there are parts of the game where one works better than the other, but I've become quite attached to Word of Healing.

Actually, now that you mention it I do recall that we killed an ether seal at one of the Mursatt Towers and even though the seal was dead I was still getting an energy drain.....oops.
That is good news about no energy draining towers in Abbadon's Mouth. I've beaten Abbadons with my warrior a few months back and we beat it with a 7 man team (1 of the 2 monks dropped out right in the beginning). That one monk did a really good job healing the team and we beat it. We were all pretty good and played smart too so that obviously is going to help monk out. Although the end bit was really tough and the only reason why we beat it was I had the good sense to bail when the poop hit the fan and then I slowly began rebirthing the team back till we were all back. Despite that hiccup at the end I hope I can monk that mission as good as he/she did.
