The way to do this is to refuse to drink and take chalice to that guy in Kaineng. That's what I did. Am Fah become hostile again as should be. They are evil and allied with the afflicted so it makes no sense to drink from the chalice of affliction.

Problem seems to be the challice thing, i mean when the challice is gone, you can't complete the quest anymore, main problem is really the Warrior Elite, and asking the challice from other ppl will just pass the problem onto that person, a fix that perhaps resets the quest to it's beginning after the challice is gone with the condition that you never have completed any of the paths (drink/not drink) should take care of the problem.

Hahahaha, I did all of that on accident. I remembered something about -2 degen, so I was like "No way Jose" and threw it away. Then Tosai was like "I'm not Jose..." leaving me like... "Whaaa...?"

Exactly - I had this problem and drove my warrior NUTS!!!!!
Eventually I took my Eles chalice and gave it to him and he could get that cap and finish the quest. But why if I abandon and destroy item CAN'T I GET IT AGAIN???

I pinged support about this, know what they said?
It's NOT a bug and working as intended. ROTFL, OMFG...

Yeah... ok. Maybe getting stuck in the floor 3 times now is working as intended too.

So in the end my Ele will never do that quest group and in general have peaceful Am Fah, unless she takes it from another char and they can't complete it. Smart design ftw, just like cooperative missions and alliance battles

They even suggested other quests were like this but oddly enough never told me which ones when I requested examples, just repeating 'form' responses and 'post here'.
