A current elite skills list is on this forum here, along with a working list of areas we've narrowed down thus far while searching for AP. So far, this list is based on having no quests active (which sometimes precludes boss spawns). After that, we might have to focus on quest-related spawns. Feel free to add to the thread. For those who've asked about other elites, the only ones we haven't had any sign of whatsoever are Assassin's Promise and Ferocious Strike (in Cantha, that is).

No. The evidence and feedback thus far is that there are no elites exclusive to these areas.

I filed a bug report a little over a week ago. Since then (but probably not necessarily a result of it), we had the update which added a number of missing bosses. According to a report of an online chat with Gaile, AP is "in the game now" (which I assume means following this update).

Very possibly. There are also some critters that aren't visible until they "emerge" from the earth or drop from above when you hit a certain trigger point. How many remember how long it took to find Feast of Corruption from the Wurm boss in a remote corner of the mountains near where they later added Sorrow's Furnace? Was it 5 weeks or so?

I can't find heal as one on Wiki....as for assassin's promise, i bet Anet will fix that in the next update or so

Heal As One is one of the easiest caps to get outside of Jade Quarry on the Kurzick side.

the funny thing about the heal as one boss is that before the update he had lacerate like any good warden ranger type should. as for assassin's promise... brittany spears would say: oops a-net did it again!

look what my mesmer caught with arcane thievery

Stolen from a Shadow Blade Assassin during the 'Lambs to the Slaughter' quest. Unfortunately there is no boss (2% morale is from killing an afflicted boss).

There are several assassin bosses during the 'Challenge' quest. Maybe one of them has the skill. You get the quest in the Shenzun Tunnels entering from Maatu Keep.
EDIT: Just did that quest. The 4 named enemies don't have boss status. No morale and no elites to cap

hehe its Salke Furr Friend dear.... Makes more sense that way to.

I had to read it twice while getting that cap last night. But its Furr as in furry animal friend or something *shrugs* It was one of the wierder boss names I have seen.

I was just south of House zu Heltzer last night and cam across a Mantis Assassin Boss that I am 60% sure had the Assassin Promise. Since I was playing a Necro I did not pay enough attention to say 100% for sure.

So short of hitting the signet of capture in arbitrary locations, I am at a loss. I posted this in another thread, but let me say it here as well. Has anybody seen ANY monster use Assassin's Promise at all? If so, where?

There is a 4th option: The boss could be interchangeable with another one, like the two Coldstone bosses of Perdition Rock.

If it was it would be a unique boss, so far every boss has been in the same place always, even if it needs a quest to be active to get it.

I vote next time Gaile comes on we ask her to ask the devs where it is. it's looking more like a glitch every day.

PS checked South of HZH and zip, There was an assasin Warden but that did'nt have AP

I've yet to see the elite skill used by any regular hostile (the ones roaming around EAs). As soon as the assassin-type hostile is found, it's just a matter of scouring the areas they exist to find the appropriate boss.

I think if we all send bug reports to anet then they will take note and do something about it.By either telling us where it is or putting the boss in.

Well, as far as the theory goes about the boss being on an Oni ... if Factions is anything like Prophecies the boss won't be buried.

AFAIK, any creature that buries itself (hides, whatever you want to call it) will always be revealed already if it's a boss. Think devourer bosses, grasping ghoul bosses, shadow-bosses in Prophecies: they are all above-ground even though their monster type (the normal, non-boss variety) are almost always buried.

If this is different in Factions, someone correct me, as I haven't been all the way through it yet

Otherwise, we should make an assassin promise to tell us where it is

How could you forget about Maw? Only the biggest boss in the whole friggin game. Kinda surprised he doesn't tear the whole mountain up when he comes up to eat you...

Ah yes forgot about maw ... I suppose he's the only one though (and I think the only wurm boss) I try and stay away from Dreadnaught's as much as possible now that the chests are no longer there
