Arborstone Mission
OK I have tried this mission too many times, I get nailed near the end where the boss is, I have tried PUGS, Henchies, guildies, I can't get through it!
Even my guildies said when we tried it seemed harder than when they did it last. Is there a tactic getting past the last boss and his cronies???
Help!

It sounds like you're the one causing the problems in all your groups. Maybe you should consider improving your skills instead of improving your groups.

Thanks for the constructive criticism, (yes that was sarcasim), I asked for help not uniformed insinuations. If you have nothing else to offer besides that, than post elsewhere.

Claymore: what sort of character are you running? (skills, attributes, etc) if we know what you have, perhaps we can make suggestions.

Im running an Asn/Me right now, but running a pure build assassin. Like I said I can breeze through th entire mission all the way to the last boss, then its like my whole group pug, guildie, or henchies, are like lvl 10, we get all wiped out. Even the Last time my guildies tried to help, they were wondering what the hell was going on, getting tired of this mission.

At the end, when you go up the last set of stairs to the platform before the closed gate (kill Onis first), take your party to the left side of the platform. From there you can pull a few foes at a time and kill or keep them occupied until Danika opens the gate.

I think I found your problem. Your monks are burning all their energy trying to keep one player alive and dont have enough left to share the love.
I've done this mission with henchies, pugs and guildies. It's really not that hard.

Ok before this thread gets hijacked into assassin-hate thread, very rarely do I require that much attention from a monk that a whole team suffers, most of the time I require none. Unlike some assassin/tanks morons out there, I know what Im doing as an assassin, so does anyone have useful advice other than flaming for my choice of class, or my ability to play it?

Take the left path or the middle to get there. Save boss for last. If you have a guild group and can't beat this, then find a new guild.
There is no trick to it, just a bunch of high levels and some falling rocks. gl

Definately save the boss for last because the moment he dies, Danika will rush in to open the door and that will pretty much seal your fate right there.

Funny, I passed this mission with my assassin/ranger with an all henchmen team without any problems.

I think the most important thing in the end of mission is fast heal and res, when i did it with my monk i had some interrupts caused by the rocks that made like 2 people die, but the rit rezzed fast with FoMF and after the that i did good at heal.
1 more thing, imo this mission is very hard using henchs, because of that rock stuff, so i think with a pug with 2 monks + 1 rit u will do fine

First of all, try taking the left route, in my opinion, it's the easiest route and will minimize the chance of getting DP during the mission.
Then, when you reach the atrium, try to kill the Stone Rains spawn close to you before they join the big group.
(If you're coming from the left route, beware the Oni group spawn at the top of the center route stairs.)
You can make use of dropping the Urn a little bit far away so as to keep Danika away from the battle field.
The 2 Stone Reapers are "pull-able"... try to pull them out using your long bow.
After that, force fire on those Stone Rains and the Stone Soul... then the boss - Stone Judge.
That's my Warrior's experience of getting through this mission with 7 henchmen. In fact, I just bascially follow the hint from GuildWiki

here is my advice
1. don't take Nika, since you're a sin
2. if they(PuG or henchman) have problem to rez, use Mantra of Resolve + rez. sig to help them
3. if they have problem to heal because the interrupt, choose someone to take the Urn(better when it's Lv3 or above) to reduce damage the whole team will suffer

The first time I did that mission it was super hard! Mainly due to one person going afk right after the cutscene where Mhenlo leaves. Another person dropped or left a little after that. We took the route to the left, got standard reward. I was completely happy with it since only having 6 people made it look like we were doomed.
When I got master on that mission it was with guildies, one of whom was an assassin. We took the route with the Oni's. I thought it was easier, the route was shorter and the groups seemed a little smaller. Oni's are annoying, but not to bad if you are prepared.
As far as the end goes, it is a lot easier if you pull the little guys first. Make sure to call targets so they go down fast, then take out the boss.

Thanks Folks, yes I have been taking the middle route and not had any issues until that Stone Judge boss and group. I'll try again tonight maybe, the worse part was when they group in the clearing at the end, I tried pulling a few but can't get them to come far enough before the whole group aggros.
Thanks again for the help all.

I've never failed the mission and got Masters on every character in 1 try. The only hard part is actually getting a party. Go left after getting the Urn.

The left (aka northern-most) route is the easiest. Just watch out for the last part where you descend the stairs, as you WILL get ambushed and owned by Oni if you're not prepared. Kill everything in the final room before you go for The Judge. Should be a breeze if people knew about the Onis and actually LISTENED...
