assuming a certain set of armor looks better than something cheaper (whether that's 15k or fissure) is like assuming a $50 bottle of wine is better than a $25 bottle. Usually is the case but not always.
Anyways before I invest in anything 15k or above, I search the ss expo forum and wiki for ss's. For my female necro I thought fissure was the coolest looking (my av), and for male rit I thought 15k kurz was the best looking (kinda Voltron-esque). So I got them after doing window shopping.
