90% of the girls are guys.

100% of the "lesbians" are guys.

Flesh of My Flesh -> Generous Was Tsungrai is more than a suitable res for mid-combat.

Some Sin will always find a way to die at least once.

Rit Lords protect better than Prot Monks in most situations.

Even with Shelter-Union-Displacement up, somebody will find a way to kill themselves.

Most players don't know what the T button does. (Oh god, I did raisu palace and people knew how to call the target...but they didn't know about the T button to follow the call T__T. )

PvP Builds tend not to be effective in PvE.

I'll find more later.

There are no tanks in the game. If someone draws unintentional aggro, they either made a mistake or they don't understand the aggro system, and there's nothing the warrior can do about it in either case.

[QUOTE=Nexus Icon] As you're a monk I can understand you thinking this, but honestly, you need better energy management if you think this is the case in the majority of Canthan missions. [QUOTE]

You are probably right, but I don't see a battery necro as purely for the monks, but for any casters. With that much more energy you get much more damage from all of your casters and near infinate healing from your monks. But I guess the downfall to that is when the BiPer runs out of enregy... I'm not putting down SS and MM, they are both great.

MM's can greatly reduce the damage your group takes and deals because the minnions do it for you. As for SS necros they are good damage and can provide some warrior hate and other stuff with their curses.

PS I almost never have energy problems, the majority of the time I'm a pvp monk anyway I just think BiPers are a great addiction to pve groups

Its always a game to me to try and keep the particularly Leeroy ones alive. Its quite the challenge sometimes.

Certain characters get too serious and are way too elitest about who they take on their team.
There's nothing wrong with going back to do earlier missions to help noobs out - you can show off to them and you should always remember that you too were once a noob!
An elementalist makes a better assassin than an assassin (more so if they use Ride the Lightening).
The only time when two healers may become a necessity for a mission is when an assassin goes along for the ride, as they need a healer of their own.
All Warriors have colossal egos, in particular, those who tank.

That offended me...but im trying to keep it cool

And for your info...i dont need a monk at all...i easily can keep my sefl alive...its just the majority of noobs who think assassins are tanks

It is true that there are some really good assassins. They know what an assassin is meant for and they know how to stay alive. But they are VERY FEW.

The average assassin needs an own monk. Quite some assassins can't stay alive even with an own monk.

From about twenty assassins i grouped with, 2 were able to stay alive on their own and were able to dish out some serious damage. So this is 10% chance of a "good" assassin. I guess when factions was just released the chances were even worse, just because anyone created an assassin. I see far less of them lately which makes me hope the chances of finding a good one are getting better.

Honestly 1/10 is not really a poor ratio of effectiveness when compared to warriors.

yipchiu:
I had the pleasure of being in a group with 3 rits and no monks this weekend doing Raisu Palace, and they proved that monks are no longer a necessity.
I was overjoyed to discover this, as I've believed for the longest time that monks are overpowered and that the game wouldn't be able to function without them.

I do still think that the game relies on monks too much, but it was refreshing to finally find an alternative.

Another interesting truth that one of my friends who plays assassin has been pointing out to me recently:
Due to the way critical hits are calculated, assassins are far more effective against level 20 opponents than higher level opponents (say 24-28, quite often the level of monsters you'll be encountering in end-game content).
So one could say quite correctly that the assassin is more useful in PvP than in PvE.

Please correct me if I'm wrong here, as I'm not sure how the critical hit mechanics work.

I apologise for any offense!

I actually met an assassin the other day who managed to hold off dying throughout the duration of the mission! I do recognise there are some good ones out there - but it seems that, like with mesmers, you have to know exactly what you're doing with them before they become effective. Good ones seem few and far between...

3)sister tai is actually a tank in disguise

Oh, some new behaviour I've noticed recently after the "resurrection improvements":

Henchmen will now burn their res sigs within the first couple of encounters

After a battle, henchies may be left with a choice: Either heal the player who is suffering massive degen from poison and / or hexes, or res the dead henchman. Given this choice, they will ALWAYS res the henchman, and the player WILL die whilst running around panicking and swearing. I think they're just getting their own back. That, and I think they derive a twisted pleasure from watching the player run around trying to get their attention. Sodding sadists :E

Just feel as i I must share this convo: I'm myself one of those assassins who know what they are doing and will not get themselves killed first opportunity given.
Will call the other guy "him"

(taking place at some quite late mission outpost in Cantha)

him - Group looking for a warrior to finnish party!

me - I'm an assassin but I know what I'm doing, I'll join if you want me.

him - sry assassins are bad we need a warrior.

10 minutes pass

him - Group looking for a warrior to finnish party!

me - You sure you don't want me?

him - sec Ill ask the others.

me - kk

him - k you can come.

me - k invite me please.

him - sry someone has got a warrior coming.

me - ah well gl then

The party with the WaMo enters mission and I go afk 20 min, when I come back and check the logs I see this message:

him (whisper) - The warrior rushed, died, called the monk noobs when they didn't save him, wanna come?

I did not join them...
Dont think an explenation is needed. It's just well annoying how people treat you like you're worthles if you are an assassin.

Truth:
A tank master's pet can out tank a warrior.
No need for more than one tank in a group if any. This is especially true if you have some pets, and an MM, no need for a tank period.

Allied warriors are almost just as dangerous to you as they are to mobs.

Granite hydromancer's armor is the best ele armor ever. period.

Male Aeromancers armor looks dumb.

Im better than you. weither you belive it or not. :P

It's far, FAR easier to cap elites in Cantha than in Tyria.
With that in mind, if you're chasing the "Advanced Skill Hunter" title, save the Canthan class ones (Rit & Sin) 'til last. That will let you "finish" the title in comfort.

Danika is far squeakier than her appearance would imply.

In general, mobs in Cantha are weaker than mobs in Tyria.
HOWEVER, mobs in Cantha often have patrol routes that take them dangerously near other mobs, resulting in untimely adds.

The Afflicted have bits that wobble in combat.
