You people are throwing a shitload of false information out there.

My BELIEF is that weh no su/ascended are basically classified as the same thing and since you were already weh no su, it did not give you the experience for ascending.

After having brought a previous Canthan through and not receiving the 50k xp (already finished Nahpui Quarter), I tried with another Canthan, but this time I didn't do Nahpui Quarter first. I did receive the 50k xp this time.

So, it seems that if you've already completed the Nahpui Quarter mission, you will not receive the 50k xp. It has nothing to do with the bonus.
