Aww Thanks for your very kind comments, I really appreciate it
lol, I know the feeling... first time I charmed it I had like 25 hp left since I accidentally ran into the traps set near the spirits. Congratulations to you and your guildies on Charming it

Heh. Here I thought the guide was gonna be similar to the "level-20-monk-in-presear" method. But I wonder if that method would work here and it got me brain juices working ^^; . Take for instance in Kurzick territory outside of Lutgradis. There is a white tiger to the right and a spawn portal to the left there. Attack the tiger and make it aggressive. Now let it kill you. You'll spawn at the portal right there and it'll attack you again. Leave your computer on overnight and let it keep doin that. Chances are by morning, the tiger will have levelled up to level 20, and be DIRE since it spent all night kicking your ***. Charm it and you have a level 20 dire white tiger. Of course this is totally dependant on:
1) does the tiger actually level up from killing you (like the charr did in presear)?
2) first you probably need to aggro a mob to kill the kurzicks by the spawn portal or they'll keep healing you
3) mantis mob might show up and kill you or the tiger so probalby wanna clear the area of enemies after getting rid of the kurzick guards/priest
4) pray the tiger doesn't wander too far from the spawn portal. one thing you might wanna do is target the nearby scoutmaster and put a rock on your spacebar. That way as soon as you rez, your character will run to talk to the scoutmaster who is fairly close to the tiger (edit: or better yet, take off all your armor and weapons and target the tiger and hold down your spacebar. Without a weapon you'll probably run to it but can't attack it and you're guaranteed to aggro it no matter how far it wanders off.)
This is totally theory so I dunno if this would work heh. If anybody wants to test this out please post the results. Maybe I'll try it later if I have time

Nice guide.
I've done it for a few guildies, two man. Same first couple steps. After the patrol has gotten to the bottom of the ramp, I just run in and tank the agro for a minute while guildie sprints throught the group and up to the tiger and charms.
It's easy and works well.

OMG I love the person that wrote this up, was lookin for a pet for my ranger and saw the white tigers before on my main char. Was doin an FF run one time and saw this elder tiger behind the stairs but it got charmed by the boss. I figured there was a way to do it but never bothered with it. Tryed to get it on my ranger used this guide, but not assasin so no shadow step, used escape, dodge, zojuns haste, charm , and healing breeze. The key is to let the boss move all the way to the bottom of the ramp before you advance and show the tiger onscreen. Got him first time.

Nice guide. I just got my Elder White Tiger now.
Oddly however I didn't require Shadowstepping or anything fancy.
I used step 1 and a bit of step 2 to see the petrol and boss. They walked off after a bit.
I then just ran down passed the first 3 mobs on the ramp and capped it without any problems or anything fancy.
All I need was 2 running skills, and whiring defence for cover.

I dont think this works I ve tried in pogmei to get the dire tiger there and even if i cast charm they charm anyway.
I managed to charm the dire anyway but just because i got a lucky spawn and they took a lvl 3 tiger instead.
