I have a question about Jin. I tried to equip her with my pet but it didn't show up. Any word out there if she can charm her own? That would rock!!

I askeds the same question during the preview event (but i can't seem to find my thread amongst the 400 other ones lol). I don't beleive hero's can keep their pets...A shame. It took my a very long time to get Koss and Melonni their hippos....it would be nice if they'd keep em.....

So if you pick one you don't get the other. So is it possible to get the other later in the game? Has anyone arrived to that point yet?

I choose Sousuke. I seriously don't like Jin's attutide and appearences. And I love Sousuke's cheerful voice and decent attutide, the Shin-Jea armor and appearences looks cool too.

For builds... I prefer Sousuke too, even though I have to control what spell he used from time to time. *He can't manage his energy*

Jin, cause she makes a hot touch ranja

remove her weapon, and it forces her to use the attack skills(touch's) pretty constantly. has been making for a nice duo farming with me D/Mo. can set her up with the standard WD/LR defense, and won't fire them until agro is on her. tack on GB elite, and ya she becomes very good.

have yet to test sousuke, but imagine the potential is just as solid.

Couple updates from further R/N testing.
-WD she'll fire randomly whether she has agro or not, why I can't explain other than dumb AI
-LR she'll only use if agro has been acquired
-She does need a weapon equiped, otherwise sometimes she'll just run in cast 1 ability, run out for way too long, then come use the same ability. If you give her a staff, rather than bow, I've had good luck. Where she'll run in throw dirt/vamp bite/vamp touch/staff/vamp bite/vamp touch/staff/ect(that should be the almost exact chain she'll follow).
-Boost Expertise as much as possible, before raising Blood at all, starting with fast little taps, they're more efficient than a couple big taps.

I took Jin. She interrupts like crazy and does some nice poisoning aswell.

Zhed Shadowhoof, another Ele Hero.

Yes, you can acquire the rest of the heroes once you finished the game.

Anyway, I picked Jin because of the awesome interrupting.

My Warr took Jin, my Ele took Sousuke. There are some Ele combos I've wanted to try with some Factions and now Nightfall skills, I'm looking forward to digging in and trying out the viability.

As my Ele has Olias she'll skip the Nec and take the Ranger down the road.
Meanwhile my warrior will have that centaur as an option, seems all covered there.

And I'm still hopeful that in the end you can have every character you want in the line-up. Either way I guess as long as I at least have one of each per character and catch all the story between all chars.

And still hoping for a Ritualist hero option at some point, though definately where I have the least skills unlocked/captured. Well yeah my Paragon and Dervish are pretty light at the moment as well

My ele took Sousouke so that I can give him [skill=text]Elemental Attunement[/skill] and use [skill=text]Arcane Mimicry[/skill] to run dual-elites

She charmes her own pet. Make sure to put the team & herself on passive & click her charm skill when you find a pet you want het to have. Do notice you cannot remove hero pets atm.

I think my warrior should take Jin to interrupt things and my other characters will mix it up a bit. Think a elementlist will work well for my Dervish!

Took Sosuke because I really wanted an echo nuker.

But then I found out that heroes don't use arcane echo at all if ever, and if you make them use it they won't always use a spell thats worth echoing! One time he echoed fire attunement!

Is there any reason I cant get the quest to get these guys? I did them in the preview but On my real character, Im now level 18, I went to the docks at level 5 no quest, level 9 no quest, level 18 now and I stilll cant get the quest for them, whats wrong with this is there a pre-quest i need to do before the guy will give me something?
