Ok just thought I'd make a new post so you guys would pay attention. This information was not fully compiled by me; the original info can be found on http://guildwars.gameamp.com .

Skills:
Vital Blessing
Bane Signet
Banish
Symbol of Wrath
Healing Breeze
Balthazar's Aura
Balthazar's Spirit (Optional)

As long as you max out smiting, and put the rest in healing you should be fine. Cast vital blessing and Balthazar's Spirit before the cutscene and then rush him using Bane signet and then Banish, Symbol of Wrath, Balth's aura, and healing breeze. Healing breeze doesn't work on him for some reason, so the match should be quite easy.

Bam. 50000 exp.

One way I did it too, I only brought 3 smite spells. I believe they were:

Smite, Symbol of Wraith and Balthazars aura. Killed dopplemonkey in like 10 seconds.

If you're a Mo/Me, it's terribly easy: Healing Breeze, Empathy and Shatter Hex.
The Doppleganger will not use Healing Breeze or Shatter Hex, so just run up to it, use Empathy and Healing Breeze, wait for it to hex you and shatter it in the guy's face. Good game.

zell, your strategy is the easiest and best working ive ever used. i was able to do this as a lvl 12 mo/me. thank you.

Indeed, your method is great, but I already ascended with my monk a few months ago. I did it with just 2 skills:"retribution and reversal of fortune.
