I *loved* the party mission. The temple one was good too, kept you on your toes. Simple things like that, even the ones like Venta Cemetary and Kodonur Crossroads were more fun than your average hack-and-slash mission.

I totally agree, the missions are more fun and more in depth then the past misisons! Not only are they more fun, but they're possible to do with henches. I've done 90% of them with henches, except for the Last Two, the one with previous enemies, and the last one.
Party one was great!!! lol "How about I give him your head!"

Yeah, I love to play new Nightfall missions, objectives are more creative unlike the missions in Cantha and Tyria, its just kill kill kill.

Yeah, definately for the first time i've said; I would redo this mission in a heartbeat!
The past campaigns left me burned out since it was so repetitive. But teaching a young girl how to dance? That's what i'm talkin about.
Oh, and another mish worth mentioning is the one where u storm in to save Kormir...that one was great! The bonus objectives are actually getting fun! And that's really a mission structure of an action game; sneak into a palace, rescue captive, get the hell out of dodge. I failed that mission a couple times but didn't care because it was so fun.
hell, i've actually found myself WATCHING the cutscenes....WTF??? I never watched them in factions or prophecies, cuz lets face it, the story ain't really that interesting. Nighfall's might not be the Da Vinci Code, but i think the improved missions make you want to care about the story more.
And the branching storylines are really well done, they really make you care about ur decisions.
It also appears that the missions don't take as long, especially the temple one but others too. Tyria missions were ridiculously long (ESPECIALLY IRON MINES!!!) I freakin hate the mish with a passion.

Yea I enjoyed the party mission. I fronted money for the gift though, I feel dumb.
Both the Court of Sembeleh and the mission where you gotta run the Lights to kill Harbringers are brilliantly entertaining. Also the mission at the beginning where you go incognito as a corsair is neat too.

First thing that came to my mind for that mission (Blacktide Den) was Final Fantasy X-2.

I agree the party mission and the undercover as corairs missions were unexpected suprise. And that one where you protect melhonies village was quite enjoyable.
But the last mission was the best by far not to give major spoiliors
but it reminded me of andross battles from starfox games.

These missions were so good!
For the first mission, one of the battles dragged on for like 10 minutes, with us constantly on the brink of death. Talk about an adrenaline rush for us monks :P

Apart from certain missions like Jennur's...no entertaining is not what I would call that mission, it was hell with me a warrior and henchies/hero's. But yeah the party mission was the best and the others aren't to bad, although Grand Court had me sweating, I don't like missions that take 20+ minutes that you fail, time is precious.

OMG yeah I love the new missions. There's more to them then in the previous campaigns. I've also noticed you tend to move AROUND Elona more, like, you would go to Vabbi, then have to come back to the Sunspear Sanctuary kind of area to progress again. I like that, seems more realistic to me. OMG that party mission is awesome. Battling a mime, stealing people's beers to get drunk, bashing up a guy... it's awesome! But, nearer the end the missions actually start to get HARD and hard FAST! I'm currently only up to the Ruins of Morah mission and can't get past it with heroes and my guildies tell me that that mission is a walkover compared to the later ones.

I feel these elonian missions are a nice balance between Cantha and Tyria. Tyria goes off in one direction with the bonus system...everything about it is so cryptic... I could have never worked out how to activate most of the bonuses in Tyria, let alone do them without some inside knowledge. *applauds Guildwiki*
The Canthan missions go to the other extreme whereby you're given a straight path and told to kill everything by a certain time.
The Combined Bonus-Masters system Elona has is a very nice balance between the two...there's a little bit of thinking involved (not that I trust other humans in my party even now), they're not all timed, a lot of the bonuses you can do however you like and, more to the point, take as much time as you like...since people aren't wanting to press on too much to finish the mission in the set time.
I'm also liking the variation in the missions...there's the classic "beat the clock" one to try to get masters on that "three-rifts" one...there's Thiark Orchard the one-man mission... One small criticism is that some of the earlier missions don't get hard enough quick enough. Even missions such at the Gates of Desolation aren't hard... The only one I have come across which has been an "annoyance" at best is the penultimate mission when it comes to killing Shiro and the Undead Lich.

I'd like to add that the Avarre Award for best quest/mission ever goes to Troubled Keeper, because you can't just charge through it. That was such an awesome quest.
The missions are excellent, the variety helps and they aren't all the same objective of just slaughtering everything.

Well, I hate to be contrary to the majority, but I like the Prophecies mission style much better. Some of the missions like Pogahn Passage, to me, seem just tedious, time consuming, and boring.
So far, there is no mission in Nightfall (or Factions either) that I look back on as an enjoyable experience, something I would want to do again. Whereas, there are very few missions in Prophecies that I did not like. In Nightfall I learned quickly to wince when a new mission came up.

The only Elonian mission that has ever made me feel like "ugh...I can't be bothered with this" is Blacktide Den. I edge-walked the place before I managed to find those other 4 stupid Rhinkol Monitors. That was utterly ridiculous...it's like finding a needle in a haystack. Anyway, done now.

yeah, i got agree with all of ya, NF mission is so much more enjoyable than that of the prophecy or the faction missions. The consulate dock was pretty good, it feels nice that u r leading an army of NPC and fighting actual "battles" unlike the lame battle of faction with just your party againist huge mob. Consulate dock is awesome cuz you lead your troops againist 20-30 kourna bastards, huge chaos and bloodshed is my thing.
